Estonia are one of my favourite Eurovision countries! Loved Rockefeller Street, Kuula, Partners In Crime and Through My Window off the top of my head!

Rockefeller Street is my 3rd most played Eurovision song behind La La Love and Euphoria! kink.gif

Been listening to all of these and it's a pretty strong lineup! Põhja-Tallinn - Meil on aega veel surely wouldn't be allowed at Eurovision? It basically samples/interpolates Pachelbel's Canon all the way through...

Great to see Grete Paia getting a good slot.

I'll be watching this tonight instead of the Andra Chasen. Estonia could be my number one country this year if Grete Paia gets through. The song keeps popping into my head all the time. wub.gif

Grete Paia's song is very good. If it does win I hope they keep it in Estonian as well!

Just been doing some more research into Põhja-Tallinn's Meil on aega veel and apparently it's a similar situation to Zaleilah in Romania last year, it was a huge Estonian hit a few months ago, albeit with a children's choir singing the hook instead of a solo female! The video has got 1.3 million views ohmy.gif

I'd imagine that this is likely to do well this evening but whether or not it can get past the novelty rock entry and the favourite Grete Paia is unlikely. Anyone else think this sounds like a strange mix of Pachelbel's Canon, Daz Sampson's Teenage Life and Don't Marry Her by The Beautiful South? laugh.gif

Birgit Õigemeel won with her song 'Et Uus Saaks Alguse'! Grete Paia was 2nd after losing the superfinal against Birgit and Winny Puhh was 3rd after failing to reach the superfinal.

Here's her performance from the semi-final. Sounds really nice!

Nice enough but Birgit had a much better song last year with the brilliant string-pop of You're Not Alone! Lots of MOR stuff ready made to DNQ/finish in the bottom half of the final this year!

Here is the studio version of the song, it is 4 minutes long - so it will need to be shortened before Eurovision of course!

It's really growing on me even more, lovely choice from Estonia! wub.gif

An MP3 pack with all of the Eesti Laul songs in their three minute versions is floating around somewhere, including the 3 minute Eurovision studio version of Birgit's song biggrin.gif

I definitely agree and it was already in my top half, loving the revamp of this song! The new massive long note leading into the final chorus is fantastic! wub.gif
