Had this on Shuffle and listening to Negativland and Gavin Bryars back to back was quite the experience.

This is the link for the listenthrough. It starts at 8pm with a couple of warm up songs so don't worry if you're a few minutes late.

Sorry I couldn’t make this. Hope it’s going well - I did give the playlist a first spin.

Yes me too - I didn't get back as early as I'd expected and didn't see the point in joining so late. I did listen to the playlist on my way to work this morning and it seems pretty decent on the whole on first play

When are you planning the results Chez - looks like the BJSC semis launch will take up the evenings on Saturday and Sunday? |

I was planning the results on Saturday at 6pm, that should avoid BJSC clashes and hopefully some people would be around. I'm a bit inflexible otherwise as I have a deadline on Monday so it wouldn't be until Tuesday. However, if people would prefer that and more listening time, I can do that and extend the deadline, I'll leave the question open x

Voted but I have to add that it was hard to find enough songs to vote for, this was clearly not my theme.

I enjoyed this even if some of it seemed to go beyond the experimental into the bizarre. I’ve sent my votes.

The nature of an experiment though, especially musically, is pushing boundaries and going against the usual type of sound, so of course it may sound weird! Unpredictability and unorthodox usage of certain musical features are a key part of the genre.
I fully intended for 'weird' stuff to be sent however you define it so sorry if that's not your thing I loved it though (and indeed my votes are inputted, nine still to come in, will send out reminders tomorrow evening x) |

I agree with Chez, when I submitted my entry, I took into consideration what it must have felt back then when that song was released and was it perceived as experimental and wikipedia sorta said yes lol.
