It's not even on all 4 yet for catch up as Channel 4 are having some serious broadcasting issues right now.

The first episode consolidated to 1.1 million viewers so a rise of 250k.
Some geeky breakdowns of that - 224k were aged between 16-34 and of that 160k were women and 64k were men. 70k viewers were under 16. Around 800k were aged 34+. It was the 9th most watched show on Channel 4 that week. They still have pulling power. A relatively cheap to make documentary that wasn't endorsed or promoted by the girls. Channel 4 would have been happy with the results. |

Did I miss it or Spice World (the movie) wasn't mentioned in the documentary at all? How weird.

I guess they couldn’t find a way to tie in certain projects/successes with the overall theme of how women are treated in the media and society?
I’m pleased that the ratings were good! |

Did I miss it or Spice World (the movie) wasn't mentioned in the documentary at all? How weird. It wasn't really about their projects, it was more about their cultural impact and how they were treated by the media. So projects like the movie and some solo careers didnt quite get a look in and that is fine. Personally I would have loved a 4th episode but it is what it is. Im glad the girls didnt have a say in it, actually, as it would have been too glossy otherwise! |

I caught up on the third episode tonight which was enjoyable but I felt Emma and Mel C got much less time than Mel B, Victoria and Geri.
The reunion tour sections were the highpoints of the episode. |

2nd episode consolidated to 1.128million viewers, which is a rise of 137k viewers over the week from when it was first broadcast. In the important 16-34 age viewers it was watched by 226k people (of which 132k were women and 94k were men). Channel 4's 12th most watched show of the week. For some context Coronation street was watched by 390k-450k viewers in the 16-34 aged group that week.
