This album though! It’s so close to overtaking. I think the fact it has no features really helps too like we were used to having a lot of features on her albums up until this and then this showed she’s a star all on her own and can carry a whole era by just her and her vocals and presence. The fact this album was recorded so fast too! She was just truly in a zone!

It's a really strong album - think I'm overdue a relisten tbh - but I just wish she did more with the era. At that point, Ariana would have been one of the few artists that would get streaming support from a post-album single, even if she had to release a new version. Any one of 'NASA', 'bloodline' or 'bad Idea' would have been great choices. I've never been able to settle with the idea that the album should be the final part of an era, aside from the tour.

'ghostin' has to be my favourite on the album and up there with the best songs Ariana has ever done. Gets me every time!

yessss 100% a career highlight wub.gif she understandably never wants to perform it due to the emotional impact but I'm grateful that she put it out there in the first place as it is stunning.

I can't help but look back on this era in a bit of a sour way every time I'm reminded of it, knowing 'Bad Idea' and especially 'Bloodline' were right there but somehow didn't get released. sad.gif

Don't even get me started. It was such a huge album yet It could have touched much higher heights, having 'Bad Idea' as a spring single and 'Bloodline' as a Summer single would have seen the album multi-Platinum and two of the best selling singles of her career. I'm sure of it.

Oh yes I have noticed it a bit on TikTok!

This album re-entered the Billboard album chart this week cheer.gif I revisited it myself in the lead up to 'yes, and?' coming out, still one of her best.
