"Boasty" is thoroughly growing on me. Any reason for it's sudden popularity this week?

Think the video release gave it a big push!

Biography

Jermaine Lamarr Cole (born January 28, 1985), known professionally as J. Cole, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. Born on a military base in Germany but raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cole initially gained recognition as a rapper following the release of his debut mixtape, The Come Up, in early 2007. Intent on further pursuing a solo career as a rapper, he went on to release two additional mixtapes, The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights after signing to Jay-Z's Roc Nation imprint in 2009.

Cole released his debut studio album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, in 2011. It debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, and was soon certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His next two releases, 2013's Born Sinner and 2014's 2014 Forest Hills Drive, received mostly positive reviews from critics, and both were certified platinum in the United States. The latter earned him his first Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Album. In December 2016, Cole released his fourth studio album 4 Your Eyez Only. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified platinum in April 2017. His fifth album, KOD, was released in April 2018. The album debuted atop the Billboard 200, making it his fifth album to reach number one on the chart.

Self-taught on piano, Cole also acts as a producer alongside his hip-hop career, producing singles for artists such as Kendrick Lamar and Janet Jackson, as well as handling the majority of the production in his own projects. He has also developed other ventures, including Dreamville Records, as well as a non-profit organization called the Dreamville Foundation. In January 2015, Cole decided to house single mothers rent-free at his childhood home in Fayetteville, North Carolina. J. Cole is also a past member of the alternative hip hop collective All City Chess Club.

Biography

Roddy Ricch
Rising from the streets of Compton but with a distinct Southern flair, rapper Roddy Ricch laid his introspective rhymes atop melodic trap, resulting in a hybrid form that captured the ears of both regions. In a big year for the rising MC, he released his 2018 breakthrough single, "Die Young," which landed on Feed tha Streets II.

Influenced by artists such as Meek Mill, Future, Speaker Knockerz, and Young Thug (as well as the stylings of Atlanta trap and Chicago drill), Ricch began recording in his bedroom at the age of 16, honoring his family's Louisiana roots while chronicling Los Angeles street life. His debut effort, Feed tha Streets, arrived in late 2017. The following year would see Ricch's big breakthrough, starting with the release of his Be 4 tha Fame EP. That summer, he issued the single "Die Young," produced by London on da Track. The song became a viral hit and propelled the young rapper into the mainstream consciousness, racking up millions of streams within months. In November, Ricch released Feed tha Streets II, a second collection of his melodic rap and hypnotic beats.

Chip
British rapper Chipmunk began his musical career during grime's first wave of artists in the U.K., eventually moving toward a more mainstream hip-hop sound that brought him success in his home country and America. After the release of his second full-length, 2011's Transition, Chipmunk officially shortened his name to Chip, signifying a gradual return to his grime roots. The change coincided with the collapse of Jive Records and Chip's subsequent move to T.I.'s label Grand Hustle. His first release for the label was 2012's London Boy mixtape, which featured both U.K. and American guests, including Iggy Azalea, Meek Mill, Skepta, and Wretch 32. Over the next three years -- and two further mixtapes, Get Dough or Die and Rap vs. Grime -- Chip re-established himself as grime artist; in particular an artist who wasn't afraid out call out his peers, as in 2015 when he called out Tinie Tempah during a freestyle on BBC Radio One. Later the same year he also began feuds with Bugzy Malone and Yungen, as well as releasing a two-part EP series called Believe and Achieve. By 2017, Chip was fully submerged in the London grime scene; signified by the release of his third album, League of My Own II, which exclusively featured British artists, including Ghetts, Giggs, 67, JME, and Wiley. - iTunes

Yxng Bane
East London-born rapper Yxng Bane specializes in dancehall-infused R&B, but doesn't shy away from blending genres from across the board. Bane first appeared online in 2015, when he began uploading tracks to SoundCloud; the play counts quickly rose, giving him a platform to make music videos. At first, Bane was reluctant to reveal his identity, choosing to hide his face behind a mask. However, the mask was eventually removed, revealing his face to the public for the first time in the video for "Lone Wolf/Pronto," which saw release in the run-up to his debut EP, 2016's Full Moon. The following year, Bane geared up for the release of his next project, Bane of My Existence (aka B.O.E.), leading with the single "Fine Wine" in collaboration with Kojo Funds. 2018 proved to be a banner year for Bane with numerous collaborations including his feature on the Banx & Ranx and Ella Eyre hit "Answerphone" and the release of Any Minute Now, a collaborative full-length with D-Block Europe. He capped on his impressive year with his own mixtape, HBK. - iTunes

Biography

California singer and dancer Billie Eilish debuted her ethereal indie electro-pop sound when she was barely a teenager. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Eilish grew up in a household of actors and musicians, and was homeschooled along with her brother Finneas O'Connell (the Slightlys). At the age of eight, she joined the Los Angeles Children's Choir, developing the soulful vocals that would later appear on her early singles. After the release of "Six Feet Under" and "Fingers Crossed," Eilish made her breakthrough with "Ocean Eyes," produced and co-written with her brother Finneas and released by Interscope. It surpassed 14 million online streams and spawned a number of remixes with Astronomyy, Blackbear, and Goldhouse. Eilish followed up in February 2017 with "Bellyache," then landed another track, "Bored," on the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. An EP, dont smile at me, featuring the singles "COPYCAT" and "watch," followed later that summer. - iTunes

Biography

Contemporary R&B singer and songwriter Kehlani Parrish studied ballet and modern dance at the Oakland School for the Arts. An injury prompted a move to OSA's music department, where she blossomed as a vocalist. During eighth grade, she joined Poplyfe, a band that competed on America's Got Talent during the program's sixth season. Following an affable performance of Travie McCoy's "Billionaire," judge Piers Morgan noted that he thought Kehlani, the frontperson, could be successful without the band. While Kehlani brushed the notion aside, she eventually went solo and presented herself as a slightly younger, more down-to-earth alternative to contemporary R&B artists like Jhené Aiko. Her first release, the eight-track Cloud19, was released in 2014, and a pair of its songs registered on Billboard's Twitter Emerging Artists chart. A lengthier set, You Should Be Here, followed in 2015 with guest appearances from BJ the Chicago Kid and Chance the Rapper. Shortly after its release, major-label Atlantic announced that it had signed Kehlani to a recording contract. You Should Be Here was later nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best Urban Contemporary Album. Atlantic released several Kehlani tracks during 2015 and 2016, including "Gangsta," her first crossover hit, taken from Suicide Squad: The Album. Kehlani's first proper full-length, SweetSexySavage, arrived on Atlantic in early 2017. Featuring the singles "CRZY" and "Distraction," the album peaked at number three on the Billboard 200. - iTunes

Biography

Scottish singer/songwriter Lewis Capaldi began creating a buzz in early 2017 with the release of his debut single, "Bruises," a brooding exploration of a failed relationship that introduced his intimate piano and vocal sound. On the strength of his lone single, the Bathgate native sold out legendary Glasgow club King Tut's and notched millions of streams before dropping his follow-up single, the equally stark "Lost on You," later that summer. After signing with Virgin Records, Capaldi included both songs on his debut EP, Bloom, and capped off his banner year with a Scottish Music Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. The front half of 2018 was spent touring in North America and Europe in advance of his next single, "Rush," featuring Jessie Reyez. "Tough" followed a few months later. - iTunes

Biography

Lady Gaga
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (born March 28, 1986), known professionally as Lady Gaga, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is known for her unconventionality and provocative work, as well as visual experimentation. Gaga began performing as a teenager, singing at open mic nights and acting in school plays. She studied at Collaborative Arts Project 21, through New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, before dropping out to pursue a music career. After Def Jam Recordings canceled her contract, Gaga worked as a songwriter for Sony/ATV Music Publishing, where Akon helped her sign a joint deal with Interscope Records and his own label KonLive Distribution in 2007. She rose to prominence the following year with her debut album, the electropop record The Fame, and its chart-topping singles "Just Dance" and "Poker Face". A follow-up EP, The Fame Monster (2009), featuring the singles "Bad Romance", "Telephone", and "Alejandro", also proved successful.

Gaga's second full-length album Born This Way (2011) explored electronic rock and techno-pop. The album peaked atop the US Billboard 200 and sold more than one million copies in the country during its first week. Its title track became the fastest selling song on the iTunes Store with over a million downloads in less than a week. Gaga experimented with EDM on her third studio album Artpop (2013), which reached number one in the US and included the single "Applause". Her collaborative jazz album with Tony Bennett, titled Cheek to Cheek, and her soft rock-influenced fifth studio album, Joanne (2016), also topped the US charts. During this period, Gaga ventured into acting, playing leading roles in the miniseries American Horror Story: Hotel (2015–2016), for which she received a Golden Globe Award, and the critically acclaimed musical romantic drama A Star Is Born (2018). She also contributed to the latter's soundtrack, which made her the only woman to achieve five US number one albums in the 2010s. Its lead single "Shallow" topped the charts in several countries and has been nominated for numerous awards.

Having sold 27 million albums and 146 million singles as of January 2016, Gaga is one of the best-selling music artists in history. Her achievements include several Guinness World Records, six Grammys, three Brit Awards, and an award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Gaga has been declared Billboard's Artist of the Year and included among Forbes's power and earnings rankings. She was ranked at number four on VH1's Greatest Women in Music in 2012, finished second on Time's 2011 readers' poll of the most influential people of the past ten years, and was named Billboard's Woman of the Year in 2015. She is known for her philanthropy and social activism, including LGBT rights, and for her non-profit organization, the Born This Way Foundation, which focuses on promoting youth empowerment and combating bullying.

Bradley Cooper
Bradley Charles Cooper (born January 5, 1975) is an American actor and filmmaker. He has been nominated for many awards, including four Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, and a Tony Award. Cooper appeared in Forbes Celebrity 100 on two occasions and Time's list of 100 most influential people in the world in 2015. His films have grossed $7.8 billion worldwide and he was named one of the world's highest-paid actors for three years.

Cooper enrolled in the MFA program at the Actors Studio at The New School in 2000. His career began in 1999 with a guest role in the television series Sex and the City. He made his film debut two years later in the comedy Wet Hot American Summer. He first gained recognition as Will Tippin in the spy-action television show Alias (2001–2006), and achieved minor success with a supporting part in the comedy film Wedding Crashers (2005). His breakthrough role came in 2009 with The Hangover, a critically and commercially successful comedy, which spawned two sequels in 2011 and 2013. Cooper's portrayal of a struggling writer in the thriller Limitless (2011) and a rookie police officer in the crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines (2012) drew praise from critics.

Biography

Austin Richard Post (born July 4, 1995), known professionally as Post Malone, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. He has gained recognition for blending various musical genres, for his introspective songwriting, and his laconic vocal range.

Born in Syracuse, New York and raised in Grapevine, Texas, Malone began his musical career following the release of his debut single "White Iverson" in 2015. The song, which peaked at number fourteen on the Billboard Hot 100 and later certified quadruple platinum, allowed Malone to secure a recording contract with Republic Records later that year. Malone released his debut studio album, Stoney, in December 2016, which debuted at number six on the Billboard 200 and was soon certified triple platinum. The album also enjoyed generally positive critical success, and contained the top-ten singles "Congratulations" and "I Fall Apart". His second album, Beerbongs & Bentleys, was released in 2018, and featured the singles "Rockstar" and "Psycho": both would peak at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album opened at number one on the Billboard 200. It also broke several streaming records and was certified double platinum.

Biography

Norwegian pop singer/songwriter Sigrid followed her elder siblings into the music business, signing a major-label deal with Island at just 20 years of age. Born Sigrid Solbakk Raabe on September 5, 1996 into a music-loving family and brought up in the sunny seaport of Ålesund in western Norway, about 300 miles from Oslo, she was the youngest of three siblings, each of whom had their own musical career. Her sister Johanne was a classically trained singer who had studied in Italy and Spain, while her brother Tellef had tasted indie success at home with his own band. Growing up influenced by classic artists like Joni Mitchell, Chet Baker, and Neil Young, she was taught to play the piano at an early age by her grandmother and guitar by her brother, and for ten years was a dancer, studying several different styles.

After a stint in her brother's band, Sigrid turned her hand to songwriting and launched her solo career in October 2013 at the tender age of 16 with the single "Sun," which saw her featured on NRK's (Norwegian state television) hip tastemaker show Urørt (Untouched). Two further singles, "Two Fish" and "Known You Forever," alongside spellbinding performances at several major European music festivals, sealed her reputation as a superbly talented songwriter and performer. With her rich, powerful, versatile voice and elfin good looks, she seemed ready-made for pop superstardom, and the ensuing bidding war finally saw her signed to Island. She delivered on the promise with her epic, anthemic debut single for the label, "Don't Kill My Vibe," released in February 2017. Co-written and produced by Martin Sjølie (Ella Henderson, Sam Smith), it was unveiled with much fanfare on BBC Radio 1, becoming their "Hottest Record in the World," and immediately racked up millions of plays on streaming services. The equally successful single "Strangers" followed that November.

Hadn't realised the last single "Sucker Punch" missed the top 100 ohmy.gif It's the only one I haven't liked at all though, so fair enough!

Didn't see this one becoming a top 20 hit after its initial performance. I do quite like this.
