Love this, glad to see it's picking up here as it's been massive in Australia and I was quite taken first listen, I had a feeling it might end up being a hit.

I had no idea this was a big hit in Australia already, how random ~ I guess Australia are sometimes early to the future hits, it being top 200 on UK Spotify already is a good sign for it hopefully becoming a hit!

Discovered this song from being posted on BROCKHAMPTON's YouTube channel the other week, very nice and ~breezy~ little song for want of a better word. x

It still might, knowing how late they get some of the hits after us/Australia/New Zealand.

It's 'sold' 500,000 copies in the US already though, so even if it doesn't hit the Billboard chart officially that's not bad going!

Seeing as it has 197 million streams worldwide, he's definitely had more than 500,000 streams in the US.

A stream is not a sale.

No, sales are made up from an amount of streams (as well as actual digital sales).

For example, the UK chart counts 100 paid streams (eg Apple Music or Spotify Premium) as one sale, or 600 free steams.

Billboard doesn't work with sales but points... if they mention sales, it means digital sales... Billboard doesn't convert streams to sales like the UK does

I'm pretty sure US certifications for songs works the same way as it does in the UK (although I don't know exactly what the ratios are). They just don't use the combined sales/streaming numbers for the Hot 100, presumably because that also includes airplay.

Great to see this song making the top 10 here in the end as it looked like it was stalling early on in its run in the top 40!

After taking off on TikTok and getting a reset, 'Babydoll' is at #67 today! This EP is still easily my favourite project of his, although his new album is really good too. I rarely return to anything from 2020's 'What Could Possibly Go Wrong'.
