People on this site may or may not be aware that Mollie from The Saturdays (the blonde one) is a mahoosive Britney fan. They had a hit single called 'Disco Love' which had lyrics such as:
"You take me back in time to 1999, we hear the DJ playin HIT ME BABY ONE MORE TIME..." They performed the song at the 'Greatest Hits' tour and decided to do a little 20 second tribute to THE QUEEN: (From about 1:35) It was rather lovely! |

Aw that was lovely! I've only heard a song or two by them that were a bit MEH. But, this actually sounds nice!
What are some of their best tracks? I'm going to give them another try. |

You have the pure pop anthems: 'Higher' (with or without Flo Rida you pick); 'Ego', 'Up' and 'Disco Love'. But some of the fan faves are things like 'Notorious', 'All Fired Up' and 'What Are You Waiting For?'.
Their only number 1 hit is 'What About Us' featuring Sean Paul. But I personally find that good but not as good as some of those I mentioned above. |

Aaron & Mollie should've done 'Work Bitch' live!

Though, I'm sure I would have grown to like it if I had given it more of a chance. I'll be checking out those tracks you listed after |

Up, Higher, What About Us, All Fired Up and Disco Love are their 5 amazing singles for me but they have lots of other good ones too (and 3 or 4 stinkers...)
I really liked that tribute, it was fitting and worked well. |

Ok I've gotten to listen to some of the tracks suggested in this thread:
What About Us: 7/10 Higher: 8/10 Work: 6/10 What Are You Waiting For: 9/10 - I love this. I listened to the extended mix on soundcloud and it's a BOP. Fired Up: 10/10 - This is a generic gay anthem at its best, but I ain't even mad it. Disco Love: 8/10 Ego: 7/10 Not Giving Up: 8.5/10 Issues: 6/10 (sounds like a grower) Someone supply me with a download link, I'm intrigued? Of at least Fired Up at the very least. I despise '30 Days'.
What about 'Up'? That's their very best song for me. Perfect pop. |

I'm working my way through, I'll give that a go on my run in the am. They have great workout tracks. I feel like I really get in sync with music when jogging, so if I don't like it then... there's no hope.
I've quite enjoyed them so far. A modern girls aloud, if you will. |

I despise '30 Days'. What about 'Up'? That's their very best song for me. Perfect pop. I can find "Not Giving Up" on spotify but not "Up". I'll try youtube. YASSSS TYLER. Omg Tyler getting into The Saturdays, proving your taste to be flawless even more so. Intrigued to see what you think of 'Notorious' Ty! The chipmunk pitched intro was off putting at first, but it grew on me. Though, I liked the rest of the song since first heard it. It's grown into an 8.5/10. I'm currently stanning for 'Ego' and 'Higher'. Though, I haven't detested a song yet! This post has been edited by Tyler~: 15th September 2014, 06:25 PM |
