I didn't expect Birthday to get 100,000 so fair play to 144,000

Am I alone in thinking those sales are both strange and inconsistent?

Do we think Waking Up in Vegas will go silver at some point? I mean, it was on 180k years ago, wasn't it or is that a newish figure?

Do we think Waking Up in Vegas will go silver at some point? I mean, it was on 180k years ago, wasn't it or is that a newish figure? According to a countdown of Katy's Top 20 singles on MTV from 6th January, it's sold 190k to date (rounded to nearest 5k). The full list: 1 . Katy Perry = Firework :: 1,020k 2 . Katy Perry = Roar :: 1,000k 3 . Katy Perry ft Snoop Dogg = California Gurls :: 795k 4 . Katy Perry = Hot'n'Cold :: 695k 5 . Katy Perry = I Kissed A Girl :: 690k 6 . Katy Perry [3Oh!3 ft] = Starstrukk :: 590k 7 . Katy Perry = Teenage Dream :: 550k 8 . Katy Perry = Dark Horse :: 520k 9 . Katy Perry ft Kanye West = ET :: 450k 10 . Katy Perry = Last Friday Night :: 450k 11 . Katy Perry [Timbaland ft] = If We Ever Meet Again :: 425k 12 . Katy Perry = Part Of Me :: 370k 13 . Katy Perry = Wide Awake :: 350k 14 . Katy Perry = The One That Got Away :: 345k 15 . Katy Perry = Waking Up In Vegas :: 190k 16 . Katy Perry = Unconditionally :: 125k 17 . Katy Perry = Thinking Of You :: 125k 18 . Katy Perry = Birthday :: 110k 19 . Katy Perry = This Is How We Do :: 60k 20 . Katy Perry [John Mayer ft] = Who You Love :: 10k All sales-only totals. 'Roar' hasn't passed 1m yet I don't think so its sales are between 995k-1m. |

Go Katy!
So, out of all her singles, the only ones with no certification in the UK are Thinking of You, Unconditionally, Birthday and This is How We Do. This is How We Do must be closest to going on the sales I can find in my End of week 200s archives. No idea what Thinking of You would have sold at this point though and Unconditionally might have picked up some good trickle sales from recent X Factor boosts (unfortunately we didn't get End of week 200s the week that it re-entered) |

So, out of all her singles, the only ones with no certification in the UK are Thinking of You, Unconditionally, Birthday and This is How We Do. I wouldn't be surprised if all of these have sold at least 150k with streams included. I know 'Birthday' and 'This is How We Do' certainly have. |
