Yes yes yessss I am I'd highly recommend 'I Trance' and 'Limelight' from last year also - not quite as all out pure pop, but both so good too! That latest section is so strong - I love 'Eye Of The Storm', 'Midnight Sky', 'Levitating' and 'positions' Awe I'm glad you're it proud I had no idea you liked Eye Of The Storm. I'm not as find as that as Underwater though. |

Haven't been as keen on Shawn Mendes this era but 'Wonder' is alright I suppose. Not sure why it's disliked so much even if it's far from his best.
'Blinding Lights' one of those songs that just won't go away because it's so good! Love the Little Mix appearances. 'Sweet Melody' is just pop brilliance. I also spot a returning Agnes too. 'Release Me' was amazing, even revisited it loads last year cos of 10 years. My fave song of 2009 still. 'Fingers Crossed' grew on me and it's grand. Will be in my 100 *.* I'm glad you came round to 'MIdnight Sky' as well. I know you start off hating something then you love it eventually so good to see it here . Lol I literally just finished listening to Folklore last night. Oops. 'betty' is one of the best from it though <3 'Hallucinate' deserved far better in the chart and I somehow never checked out the Cascada song oops. Great stuff James. Lots of Pavlav which is a familiar sight for you. I don't think I've heard anything bar the first single. 🤐 This post has been edited by Rob S Claus: 14th December 2020, 11:07 AM |

Blinding Lights is amazing Sweet Melody is amazing even if I wasn't sold on it to start with. Midnight Sky is still just eeeeh for me but I do like it more now than unused to. You're correct Oh you should get listening to Evermore. It is superb. Thanks Rob! |

26 • Alanis Morissette - Nemesis | 99 points
JSG Chart Run | 15-15-22-19-35 | 5 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC A grand Alanis track. Not my favourite from her latest album of course but grand nonetheless. I like how this album is not so dissimilar to Jagged Little Pill. Always gonna give it bonus points. 27 • Katy Perry - Smile | 96 points JSG Chart Run | 12-19-32-36-31-23-36 | 7 wks • Official Chart Peak 73 This wasn't a favourite from the album at all and just when I thought I was done with it, 4 weeks into it charting it piqued my interest again. Not usual for me. 28 • Alanis Morissette - Her | 95 points JSG Chart Run | 21-13-04-31 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC I have no idea why this peaked so high. Again, it wasn't the best on the album but it did grow on me for the first couple weeks. 29 • Lady Gaga - 911 | 94 points JSG Chart Run | 08-11-17-27-33-36 | 6 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC This was an obvious single choice off the album and I'm glad it eventually did hey a release, even though it flopped because the hype was over (sadly). Hopefully we'll get some more from this era but if not I'm still happy that we saw this as a single. 30 • Alanis Morissette - Reasons I Drink | 93 points JSG Chart Run | 11-16-16-28 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC So this was one of the official singles from the album but again, not my fave. Alanis still has three more songs to come after this section, so we'll see how well those have managed to do soon enough! |

21 • Alanis Morissette - Smiling | 110 points
JSG Chart Run | 20-01-09-24 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC And here lies the last of the Alanis Morissette songs! This of course was not my immediate favourite but it massively grew on me in its second week. To sum up this album would be to say that it's probably her most cohesive album to-date. I'd welcome another album like this in the future. 22 • Emmy Rossum - Slow Me Down | 103 points JSG Chart Run | 03-04-13-31 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC My Partner Mark got me to listen to this when we were having a drink in the house and oh my it's gorgeous! I decided that I was gonna send it to BJSC and then found out someone else had sent it and it had DNQD. Like WTF Buzzjack. I also only know this person from the movie 'The Day After Tomorrow' and had no idea she'd released an album, let alone this song. 23 • Alanis Morissette - Losing The Plot | 101 points JSG Chart Run | 25-14-11-20-34 | 5 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC Love love love. While again, not my immediate favourite from the album, this grew on me for a solid two weeks after I first charted it. Amazing! 24 • Alanis Morissette - Ablaze | 100 points JSG Chart Run | 02-06-19-37 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC This was my instant favourite from the album but you can see that it fell pretty dramatically straight after I charted it I do really like this song but it would be the most generic on the album. 25 • Ariana and the Rose - You Were Never My Boyfriend | 99 points STILL CHARTING JSG Chart Run | 11-20-18-28-35 | 5 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC One more Ariana and the Rose song to come after this. I wonder what it could be? 🤔🤔🤔 |

The chorus in 911 is fantastic but the verses let it down for me unfortunately. I don't think I'd clocked how much of an Alanis fan you were until now

I'm glad we got 911 as a single even if just for that music video, it was never going to be a proper hit single though sadly.

I'm a huge fan of 'Hallucinate' too it did fine for a post-album single but I do wish it could've smashed harder now we've seen how well 'Levitating' is doing! I was so happy about the 'Dreams' resurgence this year too, one of many Fleetwood Mac classics <3

20 • Paloma faith - Last Night On Earth | 112 points STILL CHARTING JSG Chart Run | 21-14-09-10 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC Oh what a bloody bop! I thoroughly enjoyed Palomas Album and it is definitely without a shadow of a doubt, my favourite album of the year. (Of Course it is! I'm Buzzjack's biggest Paloma Stan!) If anyone says any different, don't listen to them. Also there should be a Paloma Forum. Just sayin. Bye! |

19 • Kylie Minogue - Magic | 115 points JSG Chart Run | 06-15-24-35-37-25-33-29-38 | 9 wks • Official Chart Peak 53 Now, this wasn't my favourite Kylie song but you'll see that anyway with the one more Kylie song to come. Where will it chart though? DISCO imo is Kylie's best album to date. Funny that it took an 80's inspired album for that to happen. |

18 • Steps - What The Future Holds | 120 points STILL CHARTING JSG Chart Run | 01-11-12-25-xx-10-19-24 | 7 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC OH 👏 MY 👏 GOD. WHAT A COMEBACK FOR STEPS. I still maintain that Something In Your Eyes should have been the album's debut single but meh it's fine. This is a brilliant song to start off with anyway. Steps have undeniably matured and yet their music still relatively sounds the same! |

17 • Steps - Something In Your Eyes | 132 points STILL CHARTING JSG Chart Run | 02-02-17-13 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC Now this is more like it. The best song on the album. I mean I've been banging on about how this should have been the first single but it's probably the best song to lead the album with. It's the most Steps sounding song they've realeased since the end of their hiatus and imo, much better than a lot odntheitn older material. |

16 • Katy Perry - Never Really Over | 143 points JSG Chart Run | 07-06-03-02-06-16-31-34 | 8 wks • Official Chart Peak 12 I literally thought that this was gonna be the highest Katy Perry track on my EOY. It was definitely my favourite tradk from the album on first listen and the four week stint in the top 10 kinda reaffirms that idea but nope. There is one more Katy Perry track to come on my EOY. Never Really Over felt like a massive callback to her earlier music ala Teenage Dream era but then the following single and promotional material didn't really put much confidence there for her to actually deliver. |

Magic is definitely my favourite of the Kylie songs I've heard from this era, very funky and infectious. Unlike the two Steps songs, both of which I've heard numerous times but can't remember how either of them go unfortunately

15 • Taylor Swift & Bon Iver - Exile | 147 points JSG Chart Run | 02-05-10-20-40 | 5 wks • Official Chart Peak 08 There is one more Taylor Swift song after this. Can you guess what it is? |

14 • Little Mix - Holiday | 155 points JSG Chart Run | 29-22-19-22-21-10-13-25-40 | 9 wks • Official Chart Peak 15 Now despite this being the highest Little Mix song here on my EOY, I'll just state now, for the record that this was not my favourite Little Mix song!! Break Up Song & Sweet Melody are far superior. |

13 • Paloma Faith - Gold | 160 points STILL CHARTING. JSG Chart Run | 01-01-01-01 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC You know what I can't believe? This didn't chart. It didn't even make the top 100. Like What The Actual f***! I am so disappointed! This is probably my favourite Paloma Song to date but unfortunately it came out far too late to make it any higher on my chart! Of course, there is always next year. I guess we'll see! |
