Great little film this 7/10, a fab cast, and for anyone who wasn't around in the 80's and imagines it was all hairdo, synths and frolics, it wasn't, it was pretty much like this for millions of people. OK, it's based around an Asian family, but it's an accurate account of life back then, the family problems, the social problems, but it's also a sweet feel-good film, tears of happiness, not sorrow. Plus it's got Agent Carter in it and a number of familiar British comic actors.
Yes there are Springsteen tracks featured, they fit into the social commentary, but there's also Pet Shop Boys, a-ha, MARRS and others cos that's what people were listening to back then. |
