It was a terrible night for all Britney fans 7 years ago. But, now... This is one of the most iconic moments in the past decade of pop culture.
Here's to you Blackoutney. "If you're looking for trouble, you came to the right place. If you're lolling for trouble, look right in my face" It's Britney, Bitch This post has been edited by Tyler~: 9th September 2014, 11:33 PM |

I can't believe how bad I felt that night and how ICONIC I do think that night was on present day.
I'm still a believer that her breakdown, as tragic as it was, cemented her as the modern legend/ICON that she is now. |

Terrible? Ever since I live streamed this performance, I always thought it was iconic and is nothing more short of a 11/10 performance. Easily my 2nd favourite live performances of all time!

The most iconic bit is when she mimes the fake laugh. Such a terrible yet fab performance.

At the time with all the bad things happening in her life, this performance was not a good sign of her health. Knowing now that she got through this I can enjoy it for the shockingly good performance that it is. Just need to fix that weave~

Everything about it is just terrible. The way it's badly mimed, the fact she simply cannot be bothered, the half arsed strutting around the stage and the styling!
The performance she did on X-Factor of 'Womanizer' a year later wasn't that much better either, she looked a bit healthier and was actually wearing decent clothes but that's about it. I'm glad those days seem to be behind her now. |

The choreography in the Gimme More performance is still pretty exceptional, IMO. If you forgive her hair extensions and the times she has that look on her face that says; "wut is happenin'?.
It was still better than two/ thirds of the performances you see on MTV these days. |
