Georgia's artist is being announced tomorrow morning, expect someone who would not be out of place singing a Thomas G:Son produced song and who'll end up coming 11th.

y'see Ryan, using the country threads and everything!

The type of songs the broadcaster is looking for sounds promising at least - I think I read they wanted something melodic indie rock, or with a disco sound. However I think we now have a fill of rock bands with these, Cyprus and Montenegro (sort of) so no more please!

The 5 contenders are here: https://www.youtube.com/user/GeorgiaEurovision/videos

4 of them are a bit too heavy rock for me and are quite indistinguishable from each other, however "We Agree" (or Weagree as they are calling it) I think I love! It has a wonderful dreamy, ambient quality to it. You have to be in the right environment for it, I imagine it being a song you'd play at the end of a night out and getting totally wrapped up in the atmosphere. Totally un-Eurovision, and very indie (and very BJSC!) but I think I love it - at least in the context of these 5 songs.

Midnight Gold won as expected. The song that came in last place got a whole 9 televotes, in fact if Kitty Brucknell was taking part with these 5 songs she would've finished 3rd out of 6 with her 88 votes!

The music video has been released!

The song sounds a bit more polished now, maybe just because it has been re-recorded with better quality equipment. Still going nowhere!

That's a great re-recording. It's going to move back ahead of Montenegro with that.

As much as everyone seems to be against this, it's at LEAST more together than things like I'm A Joker and Three Minutes To Earth, could easily pass for an experimental Arctic Monkeys album track.

I'm going to try and resist posting every single interview I watch as I do love watching interviews as you all know, but there's a refreshing self-awareness from Nika in this interview plus the news that he lived in London for five years meaning Iz can call Georgia the honorary British entry.

And another artist with great English skills, like Jamala whose interview I posted earlier, from what I'm gathering nearly everyone will be able to speak English this year. The countries that typically struggle seem to be the likes of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Belarus, sometimes Bulgaria and we already know three of those (Iveta, Nika and Poli) have good English skills!

His entry is remarkably British in its influences so I'm not actually that surprised to learn that. It is the sort of thing that many members of the public would wish we'd send now and again.

(it's also way way better than what we've sent so I'm RUNNING with that accolade)
