"Summer Love" was played a fair amount in the clubs if I remember correctly!

CSTF being so low makes me roll my eyes.

Still can't stand CSTF, every under 12 and over 50 year old loved it and heard it in most unusual places for ages

Also the awful title (caps and exclamation mark) annoys me.

Summer Love on the other hand is brilliant

"Summer Love" is really good, I got back to it much more than "My Love" and "What Goes Around..." from that era.

15. Señorita - 7.33

Highest Score: Scene, gavindeejay (10)
Lowest Score:fgi090505 (0)

UK Chart Peak: 13
US Chart Peak: 27

The OG Not A Bad Thing, blessed upon us back in 2003 by the wonderful collab between Justin and The Neptunes. A bit of trivia, The Neptunes have produced a total of 28 Justin Timberlake songs/features over the many years since his debut including: half of Justified, I'm Lovin' It, Signs, half of Man Of The Woods, and a few others (such as Jay-Z's BBC feat. Pharrell, Nigo, Nas, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Swizz Beatz & Timbaland, which I've never heard of). Aaanywho, Señorita was the fourth single from Justified and is very much a summer song, complete with a "Latin flavoured beat" and is just generally a bit of fun as an album opener. It also gave us these lovely lyrics in the last minute & a half:

Guys sing
It feels like something's heating up, can I leave with you?
And ladies
I don't know what I'm thinking 'bout, really leaving with you…

Cringe or belt-out singalong, discuss kink.gif

14. Dead and Gone (with T.I.) - 7.35

Highest Score: Dexton (10)
Lowest Score: blacksquare (1)

UK Chart Peak: 4
US Chart Peak: 2

Well I severely underestimated Dead and Gone's popularity laugh.gif Disappointing... but I didn't expect it to really do this well considering it was up against Madonna, 50 Cent, and Snoop Doggy Dogg in terms of features (one of which is out next kink.gif). Also apparently Ciara's Love Sex Magic is fondly remember by many people here - I'm yet to see why, but oh well each to their own. Dead & Gone was the eighth (!!) single from T.I.'s Paper Trail album and is also the final song on the tracklist. I actually liked the album back in the day, although I felt it dragged on a bit too long at 16 songs, many of which were longer than 5 minutes. Dead and Gone remains a T.I. favourite for me, mostly due to the nostalgia which comes along with it when I play laugh.gif Although Live Your Life is 10/10 also wub.gif

I like Señorita, just without the needless bit that should be reserved for live performances only laugh.gif maybe the radio edit omitted it?

Ooh 'Senorita' is another one I was very pleased to hear him perform at the Super Bowl!

That's way better than I'd have predicted for 'Dead And Gone' too, impressive ohmy.gif I wouldn't rank it that high but it is a good collab, albeit rather of-its-time.

Cringe at Love Sex Magic still being in ohmy.gif
I'm also on the cringe bandwagon for that bit in Senorita...no thanks! Really ages the song to early 2000s imo

What's with all the hate for 'Love Sex Magic'?

I mean, I know it's not his song per se but it's a tune!

13. Ayo Technology (with 50 Cent) - 7.54

Highest Score: Jade, ...ready for it, gavindeejay, Riser, Midge (10)
Lowest Score: Tawndry Hepburn (0)

UK Chart Peak: 2
US Chart Peak: 5

Alas, Snoop and Madonna are safe... for now... tongue.gif 50 Cent's Ayo Technology drops out at #13, recieving both high and rates. Quite interesting that almost every song out so far as recieved 9's or 10's, whilst also being given 0's and even a -1 (Can't Stop The Hate!). Ayo Technology also featured Timbaland production and uncredited vocals, and is basically a song about a stripper who makes the protagonist of the song (?) get sick of using technology. This isn't bad but there's nothing really special about it and Justin takes the spotlight from 50 Cent's own song without really trying. I found out some funny trivia whilst typing this actually: Ayo Technology was originally titled Ayo Pornography but the title (and title only) was changed so it could actually be a commercial single, which makes the already explicit lyrics even dirtier if you can believe it. Case in point...
Ayo – I'm tired of using technology
Why don't you sit down on top of me?
Ayo – I'm tired of using technology
I need you right in front of me
Ooh, she wants it, uh, uh, she wants it
Ooh, she wants it, so I gotta give it to her

In fact, if you want to have a delve into the explicity lyrics of Ayo Technology I highly recommend laugh.gif Some artist try be subtle with their suggestive lyrics - but not these three. https://genius.com/50-cent-ayo-technology-lyrics

12. Signs (with Snoop Dogg & Charlie Wilson) - 7.69

Highest Score: gavindeejay (11)
Lowest Score: Bjork (4)

UK Chart Peak: 2
US Chart Peak: 46

Only just beating Ayo Pornography is Doggy Dogg who rightfully spits in his first verse "It's legit, you know it's a hit; When The Neptunes and the Doggy Dogg fin to spit". Signs is actually such a jam I can't believe I only gave it a 9 laugh.gif At least Australia had the right idea, where it spent two weeks at #1 (and didn't go #1 anywhere else surprisingly). Signs was the third single from Snoop's R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece released in 2004 which also included fellow Snoop Lion hit Drop It Like It's Hot. This is also only the second single knocked out so far which has been given an 11 so congratulations to dandy* (Tunnel Vision) and now gavindeejay (Signs) on your faves flopping! tongue.gif

I don't think changing it from "pornography" to "technology" made much difference tbh, not sure what else "why don't you sit down on top of me" can mean? laugh.gif

11. Love Sex Magic (with Ciara) - 7.81

Highest Score: Liam, HarryEzra, ...ready for it, SamJudd, Slick (10)
Lowest Score: fgi090505, Bjork (5)

UK Chart Peak: 5
US Chart Peak: 10

Only just missing out on the all important Top 10 is Ciara's Love Sex Magic, a bit of a dance bop from Ciara's 2009 album Fantasy Ride. I like it but I feel like it is a bit repetitive and very much of it's time, much like a few others here from Justin's peak tongue.gif

before this era i never realised how shallow his music is in general. it suddenly just dawned on me like that. i remember liking ayo technology back in the day. now after actually noticing the lyrics I wouldn't give it the time of day.

that said, i hope my love, 4 minutes and sexyback are top 3 with sexyback winning.

That's a pretty strong top 10, although do think that 'Summer Love' should be in there or at least a lot higher, it's such a JAM and wish it got a UK release back in the day and given the full music video treatment, it's such an underrated gem and seems forgotten by most people these days.

Looking through some of these results and just realized he's released quite a few crap through the years, 'Work It' (aged badly and just awful, didn't like it back then, don't like it now). 'Senorita' (WOW didn't realize how awful that was until now, and those lyrics are so, so cringeworthy), I actually really liked his first album, especially the first 3 singles, but having that follow those is such a comedown. Also I think 'Still On My Brian' was just a promo/radio release, don't think it was an actual single.

'Until The End Of Time' is another song I've never been keen on and even with a Beyoncé feature it did nothing in the UK, now that really proves that it's not very good. As for his comeback 'Filthy', OMG what the hell was he thinking, it's definitely the worst thing he's ever done, didn't anyone tell him it was a bad idea, seems like he's surrounded by a bunch of yes men and thankfully it tanked worldwide, terrible, terrible song, mad.gif HATE IT, and not keen on any of the other singles from his new album, so won't be purchasing that.

But he has had some songs that have dropped, 'Signs', 'Can't Stop The Feeling' (don't get the hate for that, it's a decent enough catchy tune), 'Suit & Tie', 'TKO' & etc. Also I never got why 'Tunnel Vision' was released as a single, it's a decent track and everything, but coming after 'Mirrors', it falls kinda flat, especially when there were much better choices on that album 'Pusher Love Girl', 'Don't Hold The Wall' or 'Let The Groove Get In', anyone of those could have smashed and wouldn't have had the controversy that 'TV' had. Should have stayed on the album.

Would like to see a win for Mirrors now! or What Goes Around.

Give It To Me would be good too but I doubt that has the wide appeal to take it.

Also I had no idea about Ayo Technology! Kinda nasty those original lyrics, wow. Vibes of Snoop's 'Sensual Seduction' explicit version with that...

10. Give It To Me (with Timbaland & Nelly Furtado) - 8.12

Highest Score: MvG501 (11), gavindeejay, Dobbo (10)
Lowest Score: Chez Wombat (4)

UK Chart Peak: 1
US Chart Peak: 1

Opening our Top 10 is a UK and US #1 for Justin which is actually his first single to be knocked out which topped the charts on both! It also maybe topped the chart in Denmark and Canada too, but Wikipedia is giving me multiple answers to the same question so who knows tongue.gif Give It To Me is from Timbaland's Shock Value 2007 which is actually a pretty decent album, albeit very 2007-sounding as you'd expect and rife with Timbaland production (which you'd also expect tongue.gif) but features a boatload of big names alongside Nelly Furtado and Justin like Fall Out Boy, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, OneRepublic, Elton John, Nicole Scherzinger, Missy Elliott, and Keri Hilson. Give It To Me is a bop but I don't think I'd ra/te it as one of Justin's Top 10. Only one collaboration left which means 4 Minutes is Justin's highest rated feature by Buzzjack, but is it out next or will one of Justin's solo-efforts leave us
