DAY 1:
The New Movie Index You may have noticed the movie index has been kind of out of date for a while, well that isn't the case any longer! Thanks to Josh's hard work, the movie index is now fully updated in the first post with all the new and upcoming films as well as relevant threads! Though the thing that makes this into our 7 days of announcements is Josh's new feature in the movie index. In there he will be posting synopsis and other key details about the key releases being released each week (for example you can see his post in there a few days ago to see what this looks like! It would be great if you could check this out and comment, as well as being an informative guide and giving you informations on films that you may be interested in! Not sure what the announcement will be for tomorrow but there is a couple of admin stuff but mostly games/voting stuff announcements for the rest of the week so get hyped!! |

DAY 2:
Oscars 2018 You may have noticed also today that a thread for Oscars 2018 went up today so therefore this is today's new announcement! However this year we are planning to utilise the thread throughout the year and not just the month or so before awards season really takes off so if you want to know the latest and most up to date news on the Oscars and the Oscars contenders, visit this thread throughout the year! This will include - new film announcements - predictions, some members have already done year in advance predictions and mine will be coming tomorrow so it would be nice to see more people hype/predict - reports of new/failed contenders from the festivals - reviews for Oscar contenders - a closer look at the guilds - release date changes - trailers for Oscar contenders And more! So please keep popping in and joining in with the discussion! The announcement for tomorrow will be an exciting reboot of something and over the next few days there is a couple of admin stuff but mostly games/voting stuff announcements for the rest of the week so get hyped!! |

DAY 3:
Buzzjack Oscars 2013/2014 Onto Day 3 and here is your first game announcement! This has been talked about for sometime but now we are properly rebooting/running it! Basically the gist of this idea is we go back to old Oscars (before the movie forum was revitalised!) and running Buzzjack Oscars for those years! The first years we are running for is 2014 and 2013! As some of you may know we kind of already did this but never got it done properly! However we are now doing them properly and nominations are already pretty much set so we can move pretty much straight onto the voting stage (see more on this coming up very shortly like in 10 mins!). For earlier years after this it'll be a process of nominations/voting/results Though we have made this a lot simpler and quicker than before!: We will only be doing 10 key categories per year so nominations will be a lot easier to do so I hope more of your participate! The csthegories will be: Picture Actor Actress Supporting Actor Supporting Actress Script Animation Voice Performance (male and female combined) Director Song Hope you guys enjoy this and participate as we rly hope this can be successful and work! <3 |

DAY 5:
Weekly Movie News Onto Day 5 and we have something that I will put in place later today! Our next new feature is a Weekly Movie News thread! The Movie News thread pinned rly doesn't get used that much so we are dropping that for this new idea! Every week, either Friday to Thursday or Monday to Sunday, one of the mods will put up the weekly movie news thread, which anyone is allowed to post bits of movie gossip in and comment and interact with each other about the latest movie news occurring globally! This thread will also be used to keep more on track with box office in the UK/USA and box office news! I think this is kind of self explanatory but yeah hope you guys like this! Hope you guys find this useful and participate in this general thread, as well as posting any film news that interests you! <3 |

DAY 6:
The RETURN of the QUIZZES Onto Day 6 and we have something that was very popular last year so let's get it going again!! We are getting back into quizzes *.* From Pointless to Family Fortunes to Screengrabbed to Emoji, all your favourites will be returning If you want to host a game, please pm all 3 movie mods ASAP so we can start getting a schedule going! Josh will probably take in charge of the scheduling as we go forward and I'll restart the leaderboard if we get a successful amount of entrants/hosts each week! Most games are pretty known around here but I'll give you a brief description for them all! Pointless: Go for the least obscure answer! Family Fortunes: Go for the most popular answer! Screengrabed/Movie Poster etc: Guess which film that the picture in the thread is from! Emoji: Guess which film is being described using emoji clues! The first game will be coming today probably from Grant with a double bill of Screengrabbed & Emoji so y'all better enter if you want quizzes to be a regular fixture in this forum again! DAY 8:
ULTIMATE MOVIE SONG Onto Day 8 and we have a competition returning for a third year! Ultimate Movie Song is the battle of which all our favourite movie songs get ranked until we reach the final and do a scoring system to decide the winner! Both years have seen All Saints' Pure Shores narrowly beat Britney Spears' Everytime both years but will we get a different outcome this year!  Nominations will be going up very soon so look out for that! Also we need another host, so if anybody wants to host please pm me asap!! This will follow the format of last year: nominations, first lot of semi finals (probably six again I'd guess), the second lot of semi finals (probably 3 again) and the grand final, with results being revealed on 2 or 3 plug sessions to make sure they get done quickly this year! So far this will be hosted by myself and Harry, with Lotti possibly helping out with some of the later stages! We need another main host though so we can start so the semi's are more spread out! Hope you guys find this useful and participate in this and repeat the success of last year! <3 |

DAY 9:
Animation/Horror Countdowns - Help Needed & New Idea! Onto Day 9 and we have another thing where we are looking for volunteers! As you guys know, the animation & horror countdowns have been going on a VERY long time now. So we need YOUR help to help us continue so we can finally complete the countdowns! We will still be doing the top 100's as they are and continuing them, but this is the new idea. We have guest hosts and the guest host will reveal 7 films per one of the countdowns, before switching over to another host and we continue etc So for example: I'd host 70-64 Another host: 63-56 etc so that will hopefully make us go quicker as we would each only have a certain amount of films to do! Please post here or PM me asap if you are interested in helping to reveal the rest of the countdowns, all you have to do is reveal the films 1 by 1 with as much of a commentary as you like with the current posting style (e.g. the year, points etc with the same colours and fonts and sizes!) Let's get this going again! Hope you guys help so we can finally get this done! <3 |
