Listening to this with headphones and really focusing on the lyrics, it's stunning. Alec is one of the best songwriters around right now, and I love how behind the sweet exterior of his voice, there's a deep yet optimistic story. Think this will become one of my songs of the year.
More instant than Must Have Been the Wind for me! We'll see if it holds up, but honestly he can do no wrong. One of the most interesting and captivating songwriters around right now undoubtedly.

Had hoped for a slightly harder-hitting video but it complements the song nicely. Hope this means they're gonna push Must Have Been the Wind, I think I'd place it as his second best song now (after Let Me Down Slowly)
Mind Is a Prison out on Thursday!! Heard this live on his tour a couple of weeks ago and it sounded brilliant, really hope they push this track like Let Me Down Slowly because they're taking an awfully long time to give that a proper follow-up.

Another new single in 3 weeks, this one's called Oh My God as per previous tweets of his, then The Book of You & I will follow - he performed the latter on tour and it was gorgeous!

A little disappointed it's only 10 tracks long, as we've now had 5 from the album and The Book of You & I is out before the album too 
but I'd rather 10 excellent tracks without any filler!

I hope so too, four new songs is so little! the book is okay, I really quite like Oh My God though!
Finally out! No new songs ended up being added but the four newies are really strong. I was a little worried I wouldn't enjoy this as much as Narrated for You but everything gels so well together, and Alec's still as incredible as ever. Undoubtedly my favourite songwriter around, and this album really had me feeling emotional throughout. Not an easy task...!

Ties the record for most #1 singles (5) and breaks the record for most top 10s (8 - Alamo and I'm Not a Cynic are the only ones not to make it)
'Match In The Rain' is a really fantastic song, easily the best I have heard from him.
I really enjoyed 'Must Have Been The Wind' and 'Mind Is A Prison' as well from the previous singles - I'll probably check out the other three (!) songs on the album that weren't already released, might as well given I've already heard 70% of the album
Alec is re-releasing his old song I Built a Friend with a new mix next Friday!! I love this track so much, very excited
