I agree HRVY is going to win. Bill is brilliant and I'd love for him to win but usually when you get to this stage people start voting for the ones who are actually the most talented. Unless they're women that is Nah but really even if the best dancer doesn't win, they are capable of 10 worthy dances by this point (Stacey's Paso notably). As much as Bill is a joy to watch and has had a great journey and I'd love for him to win, 7s and 8s at the semi final is where I just can't see him winning. He certainly had moments such as his Street routine but I just can't see him winning at all. Really it should be Maisie but we all know that won't happen in a million years |

Really shocked Jamie didn't go, but honestly, based off that dance-off, I narrowly agree. He's come a long way!

I'm the same, I personally really wanted Ranvir to go through and thought Jamie has generally been a level under the quality and capability of the others in the semi, but I must admit Jamie had the slight edge in tonight's dance off. |

We’re watching this... Bill was so light on his feet, I wasn’t expecting him to be able to do that so well

Ugh. HRVY is perfectly good and all but I hate it when they introduce emotional reasons for why someone should win and giving his trophy to his grandparents was exactly that

I would prefer HRVY or Maisie to win but I think Bill will win this now.

That last dance from HRVY was very good, I think that’s probably my favourite of the evening

Been a very good final and all the finalist are very likeable so wouldn’t begrudge any of them winning.

That’s how I feel. My heart is with Bill but I’d be more than happy to see any of them win |

Bill
I did think that Sugarhill Gang dance would clinch it for him - definitely the most memorable of the series along with the Simpsons one |

He's been one of the most obvious winners in a while for me. He's brought a huge smile to the nations face so I'm absolutely delighted Bill's won

Yes Bill!!! So so happy for him, Maisie was my winner but watching Bill was always such a joy and it was amazing to see someone who was initially pegged as the joke act genuinely do so well and morph into a great dancer.
So pleased for Oti too, first pro to get two wins in a row and it couldn't be more deserved! I feel like she always brings out the best in her partners and is in tune with them so she choreographs to their strengths always. |

People on DS saying Oti should step down now she's won 2 years in a row. Where the f*** is the logic in that?

So so happy for him, Maisie was my winner but watching Bill was always such a joy and it was amazing to see someone who was initially pegged as the joke act genuinely do so well and morph into a great dancer. This is partly why I wanted him to win, people were thinking he'd be another Ed Balls / Anne Widdecombe style character and he instead took it really seriously as a competition but still with the right level of humour and personality and became a joy to watch for the right reasons. Plus (and I acknowledge this is likely entirely in my own head!) I was convinced that the producers paired Oti with him in a bid to ensure she didn't win again |

Not really seen much of this series but still delighted for Bill. He really does sum up what the show is about!

I was convinced that the producers paired Oti with him in a bid to ensure she didn't win again No I totally agree, that was my immediate thought when I saw the parings! This is what sets Oti out from most of the other professionals though, she puts in the work with her partner no matter what whereas others would have just played the joke act angle (*cough* Anton *cough*). She’s such a talent, two Strictly and two The Greatest Dancer wins under her belt!! |

Buzzing that Bill won but he really was a very obvious winner.
I just couldn’t at all imagine the British voting public voting for HRVY, Jamie Laing or Maisie Smith to win Strictly over Bill Bailey. The whole way through I thought it was a two horse race really between Bill and Ranvir but Ranvirs exit made it all the more easy for Bill to take it tonight. We will never know but I don’t even think it was close in the end. It was well deserved though |
