Well I think this will return Sigma to the top 10 for sure. I'd be surprised otherwise, Ella's voice on this is magic it's very majestical and already becoming my favourite of Sigmas! It's also a huge improvement on 'Higher' for me which was a bit meh!

Heard the tail end of this on Radio 1 this morning so played it in full there. SIGMA really are hit machines. All their singles have been awesome.
Does Ella even say Glitterball once though? 
Oh and August release date? FFS Why premičre it at the end of May then?

Great to hear the other Ella on a dance track! Knew her vocals would sound amazing on it.
For me, Sigma are solid without producing absolute top notch stuff. My favourite of their's is still the vastly underrated Rudeboy. As for Higher, people only don't like that because of Labrinth, stick any BJ fave singer over that same beat and it would be adored on here.

Yeah absolutely! To even go top 75 was quite remarkable for a track of its nature. I imagine it might have even cracked the top 40 had they released it post Nobody To Love/Changing when they were more known.

Not really, BuzzJack loved Nobody To Love which had a male vocalist but Higher was just shit. Don't jump to conclusions, it's boring.

I don't think it sounds that similar, it's production is much better and uplifting. Higher sounded more plodding and rushed.

Vocalists are a big part of the song for many people. People perhaps just don't like Labirinth's voice or feel it didn't suit the song. It's rather patronising and dismissive to assume that on Buzzjack we'll only like a song if a female sings it.

FINALLY Spinning Adam has given a spin on this track, and, unsurprisingly, he quite likes it! He prefers it to Higher most definitely as that was only rated as "ok" but at the moment prefers Changing (although Nobody To Love is still by far his favourite Sigma track )

Just listening to this for the first time (via the live performance - bad move usually) and Ella's voice is really grating on me, just like how it did during her time on X Factor. I hate the gargling tone she has to her voice. It really ruins it for me! I'll give the studio version a listen soon, but I'm not impressed by her during the performance. It's a shame because she has such a powerful voice, it's just she warbles far, FAR too much for me to get on board properly!
Sigma's part on the backing track though is great and far better and more uplifting than 'Higher'!

Not totally convinced the track will do that well, a bit too repetiive and the hook isn't quite strong enough for me. But having said that 'Got Me Singing' could be used a lot on radio and music TV.....

Went on Spotify a few days ago, over a month before release.. And just entered iTunes at #980 for preorder. Video just shot.
I get the feeling the market is a bit tired of these EDM collabs but we'll see.. They are certainly lining this up well for summer.

It's possible if Capital get on board - I'm not sure they have yet. Their biggest competition that week is Aston Merrygold, there's no certain #1 like Little Mix so if their airplay increases then there's a chance. I personally see it ending up around #5 at this stage!

Actually, that's very good. I'd say it'd go easy top 10 if not scraping 5 (depending on if it will get a good streaming build up by the release date). If it was aiming for just top 20, it wouldn't be that high on pre-orders until like a week before release.

I've never been a fan of Ella's voice, but she's fantastic on this track. It's so much better than their previous two releases. I doubt it'll match Changing's success unfortunately, but I imagine it'll at least outperform Higher.

I think it'll certainly go top 10, #12/ #13 at the lowest. Quite a few songs only get to around 160/170 on pre-orders and still manage top 10 placings, and this is at #179 with still over a week to go.

Yeah, if it keeps climbing at the rate it is at the moment, it should peak close to the top 100 before the release (#120ish) which is good enough for a mid to low top 10 placing (depending on how well it does on streaming).

Ok im seriously not trying to troll here but can somebody tell me why Capital hasn't played any Ella music since Ghost and Yours... they still play Ghost but they haven't playlisted any of Ella's music after that. Is it really possible that they wont play her future music?
Im not quite sure why they haven't gotten behind this but have all other Sigma singles. It must be because of Ella, no?
Like they ignored MM and are ignoring this completely. Im just confused and trying to have a conversation as to what you guys make of this what I call a "blacklist" of Ella.

They haven't blacklisted her. Capital 80% of the time only playlist songs that are already top 10, or looking very likely to make the top 10. Post-album singles often get ignored by Capital. They will still probably playlist Glitterball, but it'll be closer to release. There's a good chance they'll either playlist it tonight or next Wednesday just before release.

I have a friend at Capital, he tells me their additions and what part of the playlist they are on. 'Glitterball' is only on the Post-4PM playlist for now, but will get moved up to the A list next week or the week after.

In terms of Spotify (not just UK!) and the new release 'competition' that week:
1. Glitterball 746k
2. Foxes 0 (not released)
3. Aston Merrygold 100k
So that's looking good. Add in Glitterball moving to Radio 1 playlist B and upgraded on the Capital playlist next week, and its looking positive.

Very surprised indeed! It's doing far better than I expected, and will probably pick up a lot of extra airplay this week because of that. I can still see it being as low as #4 or #5 On Sunday as streaming will have an impact and due to the Now effect, it's still only like #3 or maybe #4 on iTunes.

No chance of the official number 1, given Little Mix have decent streaming now.
But Glitterball does have a chance of catching on as The Summer song-- a bit of sun would help though :0)
[Still unsure how much radio play its actually getting now, comparemyradio seems a bit messed up for this!- but it seems quit low, so a lot of space to grow there)

I actually think 'Glitterball' will have some decent longevity. I can see it easily getting a 2nd week top 10 and then having a decent 7 or 8 weeks in the top 40. Sales prediction; around 300k before leaving the top 100.
It was never Ella's single, it's Sigma's so the performance was always going to be down to Sigma rather than Ella. It was Sigma that flopped with 'Higher', not Labrinth. But it's a win/win for Ella because whether is charts at 12 or 1, either way, she's getting exposure and keeping some buzz between album campaigns so it's a rather smart move for her. And while it won't be making the number 1, it's certainly a hit, so well done everyone.

Agree with pretty much all that Joe!
Also Ella has a lot of Summer festivals and of course her tour coming up, Glitterball will be great for those.

'Glitterball' has held up so well! It should get like 3 maybe 4 weeks in the top 10 now that streaming is picking up.
It's been added to the superhits playlist on Capital now, which means they will spam the song with 75 plays a week.

I had my doubts but I am ecstatic it's turned into a genuinely big hit for her and it should outsell the previous 3 singles combined with how well it's holding up and with streaming picking up nicely
I'm so happy for her
