 Madonna's 11th studio album Hard Candy, release din 2008 & marked her final studio album under the Warner Brothers label, marking the end of a 25-year recording history. On this project she collaborated with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, The Neptunes and Nate "Danja" Hills. The album's sound is primarily dance-pop, pop, hip hop, electropop, disco, electro, funk and R&B. On release it debuted at #1 in 37 countries worldwide & went onto sell over 4 Million copies worldwide. 3 Singles were released from this album, I've decided to include 1 more track to boost the numbers: 'She's Not Me', which is a firm fan favourite to this day & plus to make things more interesting. Miles Away 4 Minutes Give It 2 Me She's Not Me Actually found that really hard to rank! I really like all 3 singles to varying degrees depending on my mood. Tomorrow my order might be completely different

Give it to Me is the only good thing from this era, and still it's just ok, should have done an erase/rewind and bin the whole thing. It was also silly to work with Timbaland when he was already passed his peaked. 4 Minutes was diabolical, just a bad Timbaland/Justin song in all senses, production, melody, lyrics. Also Madonna used to create trends, here she was following trends, Nelly Furtado had already done this 100 times better.

2) 4 Minutes 3) She's Not Me * 4) Miles Away They're all strong though. Just a shame 'Miles Away' barely got a push and 'Devil' would have made a great single, even just for the video. |
