This is an archive of all the year-end global album charts compiled by Mediatraffic, which track global album and single sales, using gathered data and estimations to present global album & single charts. Unfortunately their single charts are composed in a Hot 100-esque formula but their album chart is entirely sales. They have been tracking since 2004 and have made a year-end chart every year since they began. This thread contains them all! biggrin.gif

It's pretty horrible when you realise 2 million would barely have got you top 40 in 2004 sad.gif

This thread contains them all! biggrin.gif

It's truly awful when you understand 2 million would scarcely have you top 40 tunes. utilizing accumulated information and estimations to show worldwide collection and single outlines.

Wow I loved reading that. Interesting to see the same names appearing again and again, makes you realise that despite sales for Britney, Madonna etc falling alot they are still achieving the top 20-30 biggest selling albums of the year with alot of their releases, they are still huge acts in relation to the shocking sales drop.
