There was some exciting news announced last week about the upcoming Junior Eurovision The UK are taking part for the first time since 2005 Great to see the BBC get on board whilst there's so much Eurovision fever in the country. We did really well in 2003 and 2004 so hopefully we can replicate that success and the BBC put in just as much effort as they did with "Space Man" this year. |

Shame it’s just going to be another internal selection though - they might as well have had some sort of competition to generate interest

"Qami Qami" vibes with the maturity. What an excellent return for the UK, we could be tasked with a double hosting job next year. |

While I don't follow JESC, this is a very strong return for the UK.
I hope this quality continues in the adult contest too! |

The Irish song is very My Heart Will Go On. It's rather beautiful, if low on impact.

For my sins I'm tuning in to this - thought the UK could've been in with a real chance but Freya's been unwell to the point of virtually no voice all week which is a real shame.

Actually managed to get on to vote after 10 minutes. Gave Spain, Georgia and UK my three votes.

I did watch this for once and there were some good songs. UK, Netherlands, Serbia, Malta, Poland, Italy and North Macedonia I liked.
Didn't manage to vote as couldn't get on the website! This post has been edited by gooddelta: 11th December 2022, 04:56 PM |

Not particularly massive on the winner, but glad to see Ireland and the UK made the top five, both deserved it. Still feels weird to see the UK doing well in Eurovision votes but then, like Space Man, it was another well staged strong pop song.

I thought that France song was weak. Totally delighted with Ireland's success.

I didn't think the French entry was up to their usual Junior standard so an underwhelming winner for me, but so pleased for Ireland, and nice that it wasn't just a foregone conclusion for Ukraine at all.
Scrap the juries!!! (Except the Ukrainian one) |
