Yeah me too, I hope it’s not just like say 6 or 7 US queens who’d normally do All Stars, a couple of UK queens and one singular non Ru queen
 There’s a few from season 12-14 who I’d like to see but the pool of All Stars is running low rn so it’s a great idea to have a global format, if they rep everyone equally (and there’s definitely at least 1 from every format who could) and make it almost like an Olympics type thing where it’s truly global. I think that’s another problem with VtW, it’s basically just Canada/UK/US with the odd one or two queens from outside. Being on Paramount+ and hosted by Ru, it will be a bugger budget for one but also a bigger cast so there can be more representation and a bigger platform for non Ru hosted girls/girls who were on a non-English season. |

Just thought I'd post a separate thread for this latest news.
A devastating clash over Snatch Game led to a confusing battle involving alleged elimination plots and spotty memory. Remember when Heidi N Closet said she was going to worry about Heidi N Closet? Guess what, Mimi? She did. The fan-favorite season 12 Miss Congeniality winner's time on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 8 came to a devastating end on Friday's episode, with the North Carolina native quitting the competition following a major Werk Room clash involving several queens, including Jimbo, Kahanna Montrese, Kandy Muse, and Alexis Michelle. Heidi's emotional saga began after the Snatch Game of Love celebrity mpersonation challenge, during which Heidi portrayed Blackbeard the pirate opposite Kahanna's impression of drag mother, Coco Montrese. While the queens prepared to hit the runway for judging, Kahanna addressed her discomfort with Heidi's approach to the challenge, feeling that Heidi made several jokes at her expense — particularly a gag that involved passing a treasure map to Kahanna-as-Coco and suggesting that she use it to find a joke. "What really sent me was you, because you really were pushing me. Seeing that I was struggling and throwing the jokes back at me, giving me the map and antagonizing me, it just was not cute," Kahanna told Heidi, who said in a confessional that she had "no idea" that Kahanna felt this way. "I don't want you to feel like I was trying to push you down. I was hoping that you'd be able to volley and hit the joke," Heidi replied, apologizing to Kahanna. "You know that's not me." The camera cut to Alexis, who seemingly was present for the alleged discussion Heidi had with Kandy, and said in a confessional that she was "trying to like, flatline in this conversation" after Heidi asked her to corroborate. Alexis lightly nodded in affirmation, only to walk it back a few moments later. "I nodded because Kandy said that to me," Alexis replied when Jimbo asked if Kandy said something to her about voting Jimbo out. "I said I'm gunning for her?" Kandy pressed. Alexis looked off for a few seconds, and then said, "No." Heidi then reiterated her earlier assertion: "What she said was, 'As soon as Jimbo lands in the bottom, I'm going to send her ass home." Alexis walked her earlier agreement back, stating that she "did not hear Kandy say that." In a confessional, Heidi said she felt "very alone" and questioned Kandy's denial, again alleging that, with reference to a pre-established pact between herself, Jimbo, and Kandy, that the season 13 runner-up tried to "turn the tables on our alliance member." "I need my peace and my joy. I've lost it here," she told Kandy through tears. "I'm not going to regret this. I know I'm not. I'm pleased with what I showed." |

Drag Race star Trixie Mattel has sought to reassure fans she is alive and well after some assumed she had died.
The queen, who came sixth on the seventh season of the drag competition in 2015 before going on to win the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars three years later, also fronts popular shows including UNHhhh and Netflix web series I Like to Watch (2019–present), alongside Katya Zamolodchikova. She has also released several albums, is an author and owner of a cosmetic brand. One of the most recognisable, and beloved, queens from the franchise, a tribute post that was meant to honour her achievements during Pride month ended up sparking concern she had died, leading the queen to speak out. This week the NBC Out Instagram page shared a photo of the queer entertainer that many mistakenly took to be an obitiuary due to the format. ‘Omg I thought she died,’ one person commented on the post. ‘What the hell. Had me thinking she passed. I don’t need this type of shenanigans in my timeline during Pride month,’ someone else wrote. Another added: ‘The way my soul left my BODY. Y’all gotta do another format for these kinds of posts.’ Even Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk weighed in, saying he had been terrified too. After all the panic, Trixie then decided to weigh in herself. ‘So, I am not dead,’ she said in a video posted on TikTok. ‘NBC posted this picture of me with my birthday and in the comments, everybody’s like, “Are you dead?” I’m not dead. I’m not dead. Pride Month has not killed me yet, but still could happen!’ she joked. However, fans then decided to flip the death rumour on its head again, jokingly making comments that the performer was a ‘gleaming beacon of light’ and they could ‘hardly believe she’s gone, it’s like she’s right there in front of you’.  RuPaul’s Drag Racce star Tyra Sanchez has reportedly been arrested in Florida for assault and threatening a police officer. The star, whose real name is James Ross and is also known as King Tyra, won the 2010 series of the popular drag competition, instantly giving a major boost to her profile and career. However she has got into trouble with the law since, as in 2020 she was reportedly arrested in Atlanta for vandalism, having allegedly spray-painted the building she lived in. The star was again arrested in May and charged with resisting or obstructing an officer without violence, and an assault on an officer. According to an arrest report seen by TMZ, Sanchez was in a minor car accident with another driver, and when officers arrived on the scene they allege she began shouting at them. The report goes on to say that the officer tried to calm her down, but when she wasn’t complying they tried to handcuff her, when she allegedly threatened to shoot the officer. They then say Sanchez tried to reach into her car, with the officer getting her into a bear hug and deploying a tazer – but Sanchez still escaped on foot, and was arrested a short distance away.  She was arrested for assault on a law officer and resisting without violence, the report says. anchez, 35, was arrested in 2020 after police responded to a call reporting vandalism at an apartment complex, with a guard telling authorities somebody had spray-painted ‘don’t move here ever’ onto the side of the apartment building. TMZ claimed at the time Sanchez is a resident at the building and is said to ‘not have paid rent in months’. A spokesperson for Fulton County Jail confirmed her arrest to Metro.co.uk at the time, stating: ‘Mr. James William Ross was booked into the Fulton County Jail yesterday.’ The now-retired queen won season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race but has gone on to attract controversy around the show and its fandom, and was banned from DragCon’s 2018 event. |

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Jonbers Blonde has broken her silence over speculation she is dating Alan Carr.
Rumours began swirling the I Hate Suzie star, 34, and the Chatty Man, 47, were more than just friends when they were spotted holding hands and in high spirits during a night out in Soho, London last year. But Jonbers, who reached the finals of BBC’s Drag Race last year, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday (August 18) to declare: ‘I am VERY single.’ The pair had headed into central London to watch comedy show Pleasure Seekers at The Soho Theatre just months after Alan confirmed his split from husband Paul Drayton. A statement read at the time: ‘After 13 years as a couple and three years of marriage, Alan Carr and Paul Drayton would like to announce they are separating. ‘They have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go their separate ways. We request that their privacy is respected at this sensitive time.’ They famously tied the knot in LA back in 2018, with Alan’s best friend, singer Adele, becoming ordained so she could marry the pair. After the split, Alan joked that he retained custody of their friendship with the Someone Like You megastar. Earlier this year, Alan announced he was in his ‘slaggy phase’ and was on the hunt for someone to be ‘slaggy’ with. ‘I want to be a slag, but to be a slag you need someone to be slaggy with,’ the comedian said on the Life’s A Beach podcast. Jonbers, meanwhile, has been notching up screen credits after her stint on Drag Race, including a cameo role on I Hate Suzie Too along with Billie Piper. |

I’ll post this here as well as the Global All Stars spoiler thread as I know not everyone will want to read those, it seems that GAS will air before AS9, I wouldn’t be surprised if they tease it when the S16 finale airs and we get the promo soon after but no word on that.
