Excluding my own 'Saving Light', it would have to be 'Easy Love' I didn't even give it 18 points but it grew on me post-contest. If we're going to ignore songs that went on to be UK hits, then it would probably be 'Free Tibet'. I'll leave this here too as most of my fave winners.

Excluding my own (I like 'Cry For Freedom' more than any other winner but I am obviously biased xx) I think it still has to be this:



Although it's had some pretty strong competition very recently from Drab Majesty's 'Ellipsis', would probably rank that 2nd! (Lana Del Rey's 'Video Games' is also up there with the best songs that have won so should mention that too but it's tough to compare when it's a song I don't personally associate with BJSC at all x)

I gave top points to both 'Free Tibet' and 'Ellipsis' as well as Belanger's 'Take Me Home', Fraunhofer Diffraction's 'Fate' and Jean-Michel Blais and CFCF's 'Hypocrite'.

It's not easy for me to decide between 'RAMelia', 'Free Tibet' and '10.000 Luchtballonen', all of which I adore for very different reasons. And none of which I gave top points to in their final, I'm pretty sure they were all second or third behind some other songs I've forgotten.

the winners I did give top points to, I'm pretty sure there's only five off the top of my head (Hyperventilating, Gypsy, Tokyo, Goliath and thoughts & prayers), are all great and probably in my winner top 10 but I wouldn't say are on quite the level of those three.

So many!

Video Games, Youth (Foxes) and Run Boy Run are all up there with my most played songs ever! I'm fairly certain I gave all of those 12 points when they were competing but have also had the help of becoming publically known songs.

Other songs I've loved have been Sulk, Capitol, Supreme, RAMelia, Give Love A Try, Need U, Derniere Danse, Take Me Home, Sissy That Walk, Habib Galbi, Free Tibet (Vini Vici Remix), Sober, Sadness Is A Blessing, Beautiful, I Loved U. There's probably some more I'm forgetting but seeing them all here has shown how many great discoveries I've made from BJSC over the years.

Meg Myers - Sorry is definitely one that stands out as a best BJSC winner.. Of course that was before I joined but it was the song that first lead me to finally take part.

'Save It', 'Saving Light', 'In The Morning' & 'Give Love A Try' are also up there. I do think I'm missing some others too but I can't remember right now. Lol.

Belanger - Take Me Home certainly the best song I've discovered that I still listen to the most. So High from the contest before not been mentioned, loved that at the time and still do.

I've only ever given my +18 to two winners - Hurricane and Word of Mouth, and I'd definitely say I preferred the former now.

Gypsy, Tokyo, Playa Grande and Ellipsis were all high up my list (and of course Thumbs but it still feels weird calling it a BJSC entry since it was entered so long after everyone first became aware of it)

Top 3 for me would be Free Tibet, Aide & Give Love A Try.

Interestingly (or not) I've participated in nearly 50 contests now and my +18 has only won ONCE* (Give Love A Try). Aide was a big post-contest grower & Free Tibet was the one I missed since debut.

*A run that shows no signs of ending. Have come very close tho including last month with my +15 winning.

Very helpful *.* I didn't realise Blonde had been entered before, and pleasantly surprised that RAYE and Noonie Bao have had wins! I'm assuming it was before the song took off as this was after real hits were disqualified from entering? Same goes for Sigala

I remember hype around the site for Jaded's In The Morning and enjoyed it so much to the point it actually made my personal chart despite not even knowing what BJSC was at the time! Obviously I wasn't clueless for long as I made my debut in 101 and will always remember basting out Sofia on the drive to uni :') I think for that reason alone it's my favourite BJSC winner, not in terms of a being the 'best' song here but as the one that means the most to me as it was my first real look into BJSC. thoughts & prayers is an incredible song also and would otherwise be my absolute favourite here.

So other than my own it would be Thumbs easily but I’ve loved that track for years before it was submitted so that doesn’t really count Excluding that (and Easy Love since it’s such a huge hit) it’s probably a toss between Heaven, Saving Light, Remember and Hide

Best runner up other than my own (like come on, would anything else top Weekends?) would be Up & Down easily

'I Loved You' was entered a while before it became a hit, at the time Melissa Steel hadn't even been officially credited on it yet (I added a credit to her there retrospectively x). RAYE's win predated her commercial success too. Sigala is kind of controversial because it was entered before it charted but only by a couple of weeks
