Sigma and Ella Henderson enter straight in at number one!
Congratulations to Sigma and Ella Henderson whose song Glitterball is a new entry at the number one spot. This is Sigma's second number one, after Changing, and Henderson' third, after Ghost and Mirror Man. All three of these number ones climb back up the chart this week, with Changing advancing 41-35, Ghost advancing 38-30 and Mirror Man crawling 15-13. This makes Ella Henderson the second artist in two weeks to gab a third number one, after Ella Eyre, whose falls to number 4 with last week's number one Together. New at number two is Little Mix's brand new track Black Magic. The music video for the song was unveilled last Friday, and it is fantastic. Completing an all-new top 3 is Philip George with what might be the follow-up to the fantastic Wish You Were Mine (which is a non-mover at #12) Afraid To Love. Galantis climb eight places to number five with Runaway (You & I) At number six is Years & Years with Shine. They also appear in the top 10 at #10 with King. Light Up The Dark by Gabrielle Aplin is now at #7. What Kind Of Man falls two places to #8 despite the release of its parent album this Monday. However, is has to be noted that I have yet to listen to How Big How Blue How Beautiful, so its boost hasn't come yet. Meanwhile, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel fall 6 places to #9, a position it held six weeks ago. The rest of last week's top 10 suffers deeply from the arrival of three new entries and two of last week's new entries climbing. First, two 80s classics who have climbed over the course of the last 2 weeks return to the position they held three weeks (Smalltown Boy 11-6-4-11 and Fade To Grey 15-12-8-15). See You Again drops 7 places to #16 and Lean On drops 8 places to #18. Cheerleader is hit especially hard, dropping 9 places from #5 to #14. Other entries At #63 we have Eurovision winner Mans Zelmerlow with Heroes, while at #64 off the back of their new single entering Good Enough by Little Mix re-enters at #64. Take That are new at #76 with Kidz, while Dr. Kucho & Gregor Salto feat. Ane Brun get in at #78 with the Oliver Heldens remix of Can't Stop Playing (Makes Me High). Britain's Got Talent helps four songs re-enter (or in one's case, enter) the top 100: John Newman's Love Me Again, which was used as background music for magician Jamie Raven's act (and was probably also boosted by the premiere of his new song) re-enters at #79. After dancer Jonathan Lutwyche danced to it on Friday's semi-final, Human by Christina Perri re-enters at #83. Somewhere Only We Know was used as background music for winners Jules & Matisse's act in the final, and both versions are boosted. The Keane original is back at #84, while the Lily Allen cover is new at #92. The cover was the version used. Finally, Queen's We Will Rock You enters at #87, putting an end to a Queen-less era of the week, which started when Bohemian Rhapsody dropped out last week. Meanwhile, the Taylor Swift Bad Blood is new at #88. High Climbers and New Peaks David Soul reaches a new peak of #17 with Don't Give Up On Us, managing to climb two places despite the current of droppers. Florence + The Machine soar 23 places to #23 with Delilah. It is interesting to note that despite How Big How Blue How Beautiful being released this week, it is the only song from the album (out of 4) to climb. The three others all fall: What Kind Of Man slides 2 places to #8 as previously mentionned, Ship To Wreck is down from #39 to #47 and the title track falls 11 places to #72. LunchMoney Lewis breaks into the top 40 with Bills, which climbs 21 places from #53 to #32. Red Balloon jumps 28 places to #51. Ella Henderson's Giants leaps 16 places to #52. The song which occupied that position last week, Big Girls Cry jumps 8 places to #44. Meanwhile, as anticipation for its parent album heats up, Psycho climbs six places to #45. Drones is Muse's seventh album. The biggest climber this week, by far, is Nobody To Love by Sigma, which rockets 46 places from #75 to break back into the top 40 at #29 following Glitterball entering at number one. This top 40 re-entry will probably be brief. The biggest faller this week by G.D.F.R., which crashes down 40 places. It is now at #99, having been at #59 last week. Hey Taylor
The top 3 are all great! that climb for Nobody To Love it's a smasher of a tune tho Bad Blood not that good as her other singles imo. What a time for Lily to debut though Keane's version has to be the best though |
