ROUND 12 - R E S U L T S The theme of round 12 was Free Choice. We received 74 in this round - thank you! So let's get to the results. Jay-Z) Spice Girls - Spice Up Your Life We have our final 5 forums! We say goodbye to the following forums </3 : Kylie Minogue - On A Night Like This Little Mix - Move Both Kylie and Little Mix received 34 votes - and were 6 votes away from the song in 5th place. Interestingly On A Night Like This was also responsible for Kylie's exit in AF Idol 1.0, when she was defeated in a play-off by Little Mix... with Move! It's quite fitting that they leave together this time. --- ROUND 13: Album Closer > An ALBUM TRACK that closed either a standard OR deluxe version of the album. NO singles (example: Spice Girls can't send 'Goodbye' but can instead send 'Oxygen' from that album if they wish to do so). #buyandstreamForever < Get discussing your possible entries in your artist forums with your members and PM any one of the Inner Circle (Jonjo, HausofGhibli, Jay*, JosephStyles, UltraReputation or Wall) with your entries, by the deadline which is... 14th JUNE 2020 - 17:59 (BST) THIS ROUND IS A SINGLE ELIMINATION. Not surprising but a shame in particular for Kylie - On a Night Like This is an incredible song!

At least Move didn't do any better than On a Night Like This. Massive shame to see Kylie out with such a brilliant song.

The fact Kylie went out with a classic like that goes to show the quality of the songs in round 12

How cute at 'On A Night Like This' and 'Move' ending up together again, and tied :') Neither deserved it but it's not really surprising - in fact, 'On A Night Like This' seemed to get a lot more votes than I expected (which was nice to see!), considering the competition. Poor 'On A Night Like This' looking like it's cursed by having eliminated Kylie twice now when that's only because it got saved for late rounds both times.
I'd forgotten about it by now but I remember guessing closing tracks was an upcoming theme from certain songs being saved or wanted to be saved ('Not Like The Movies', 'Thinking Bout You', 'Glitter In The Air') But I didn't guess the 'no singles' part so I also thought 'Formation' would be one (you can tell how long ago this was by Beyoncé still being a factor). (Also I somehow thought 'Goodbye' was from 'Spiceworld'... probably because it came only ~4 months after 'Viva Forever' so based on their chart entries it looks like part of the same era and I didn't realise they did a standalone single, evidently missing half the context) |

Move was a risk as I didnt want to just get as far as we could, by using Touch. Move was always the choice for this round and I'm really, REALLY happy with how it did, as I was expecting it to be a distant 7th (something like 26 votes) so to end up joint 6th was far better than I had anticipated. We played it perfectly. Not to win, just to get as far as we could and our run until the end is SOLID. I'm so proud of it 🥰. We had perfect entries for every round and played the game well. I don't regret not going for Touch as we'd have been out anyway, so to see Move put up a decent fight was amazing to witness!

Such a shame for both Kylie and Little Mix as both songs were amazing neither deserved to go out on that song!
