Basically very similar to the movie interview thread, answer the post above yours with your favourite performance by that actor or actress, you can say why or not- your choice, and then post the name of an actor/actress for the next person to say there favourite performances of theres!

So let's get this started with the goddess <3!

Meryl Streep

She's amazing in everything but honestly, my favourite role by her is Donna in Mamma Mia, she killed it and she can really do everything wub.gif In terms of more serious roles, she floored me in August: Osage County and Iron Lady. I also really liked her in A Cry in the Dark, would definitely recommend that for those who haven't seen it, I got really wrapped up in the story.

Saying that, I haven't seen some of her more famous performances in stuff like Kramer vs Kramer, Sophie's Choice, Silkwood etc. but I own them all on DVD so I must get around to that sometime laugh.gif

Hmmmm, Viola Davis?

It has to be 'The Help' for me easily! Absolutely adore Viola's performance in that and that film made me adore her wub.gif Also love Viola in Lila & Eve, Prisoners and the criminally underrated Beautiful Creatures!

Carol or Notes On a Scandal, she deserved major awards wins for both imo (although, perhaps she was a little overshadowed by Judi Dench in the latter). She's one of my favourite actresses though, excited to see her arrive in the MCU in Thor 3 *-*

Ian McKellen

He was perfection in the Lord of the Rings trilogy (it's impossible to pick one). They couldn't have chosen a better Gandalf. He's a wonderful actor.

Oh goodness we'll have to disagree on that one tongue.gif

Garner's a difficult one though. If TV shows were allowed, it'd be Alias all the way, but I'll go for 13 Going On 30. It's one of my guilty pleasures wub.gif

August: Osage County. It's nice seeing her do more gritty roles nowadays and that was one that really stood out to me, I loved that film too wub.gif or Steel Magnolias because it's just such a fun movie although ofc Dolly Parton & Shirley MacLaine are the best things about that movie laugh.gif

I do like his comedy performances (ngl my favourite is probably Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day though, I loved that movie laugh.gif) but I think he completely makes the Despicable Me movies with his voice performance and he was also the only good thing about the terribly dull Foxcatcher, he was really unnerving in that and it paid off with his ending.

Gosh I'm not a big Will Ferrell fan at all, but the movie "Step Brothers" is a classic and he's definitely a big reason why.

Got to be 'Her' for me, anyone that can manage to make a relationship between a man and Siri seem SO real and pure deserves all the praise in the world. She also nails the role of Black Widow and is my favourite character in the entire MCU! Aside from those, I also liked her in Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Lucy biggrin.gif
