Piano Portraits,a new entry at no.7 on today's album chart,is Rick Wakeman's first top 10 album since No Earthly Connection charted at no.9 in 1976. Is 41 years anywhere near to being a record for the longest gap from one top 10 album to the next? Can anyone think of a group or musician who can beat that?

I'm sure someone can confirm for sure - but I think it might be a record.
Didn't Burt Bacharach break the record in 2011 when he had his first top 10 album since 1971. Obviously that was a 40 year gap, Rick Wakeman has bettered that. |
