Doctor Who was the seventh most streamed boxset on iPlayer this year with 41.8m streams. The figures don’t include December so I’m sure this will miss out a significant proportion of streams for Flux!

Surely this partly down to sheer number of episodes?

That doesn't explain 41.8m streams on its own...! That's an amazing result.

I'd still want to see a breakdown of how many were for old episodes.

I mean, considering it's January to November, I'd assume most were for old episodes - Flux barely had a chance. That said, it shows there's a lot of interest and goodwill for the show *as a whole*, which is super positive for the future.

Or a hell of a lot of people have dumped the run of the show and started watching old episodes.

This lost is weird anyway - Waterloo Road and old soap no one cares about bearing Doctor Who isn't a good sign.

Like I say, Flux won't have had much time at all to impact so we wouldn't be able to tell anyway. However you frame it, there *is* interest in Doctor Who, and it being above cultural phenomenon Drag Race UK says a lot.

45.3m streams says that people very much do care about Waterloo Road laugh.gif it's nostalgia and fuelled heavily by the news that it's being brought back. But hey, keep on framing it however you want, the facts are clear and the BBC clearly have faith in the show if it's one they've commissioned especially for its 100th anniversary celebrations.

Updated figures are that Doctor Who has been streamed over 50m times over the past year, with Flux getting 7m streams so far!
