Stone and Carrell coming for those Globe - Comedy/Musical noms!!

It certainly has some good names attached though, the directors of Little Miss Sunshine, the writer of Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours and the composer behind Moonlight!

I liked seeing the real life photos at the end, so we could see what actually did happen (the nude shoot that Bobby Riggs did being an actual thing laugh.gif)

It was a solid, enjoyable movie. Nothing super outstanding but I wasn't left bored at any point, for a two hour movie I thought the time flew by tbh. There was a lot more focus on the romance than I expected (to an extent where it felt like Andrea Riseborough had a similar amount of screen time to Steve Carrell?)

Like Jahq, I was really shocked at how much revolved around the romance in the actual film as it was only merely teased in the trailers. I found the storyline of feeling genuine love and care for her husband whilst denying her true inner feelings towards women really moving so the large focus on that was a nice surprise.

Emma Stone was really strong in this, she looked the part for sure (couldn't believe how alike they had made her to the real Billie Jean King once the real life pictures appeared at the end) and was really endearing in the role. If she can win for La La Land then this at least deserves nominations in my opinion.
