Unusually low number of climbers this week but at least we have some high additions. Great to see Camila and Stormzy insta-added. I would have liked to see Ritual get another week or two but it's clear they were never big on it from the start.

I'm surprised at no Sam Feldt (was looking forward to two Post Malone related new entries) and disappointed at no 'Dance Monkey' but still got my fingers crossed for next week...

Presumably they're going to split the plays between Shameless and Liar then? Both songs are pretty good but I prefer Liar out of the two.

More than likely, yes (hopefully Liar, assuming that one will be doing better). And yes Goodbyes went straight to A-list, and on the day of release too, rather than a week later.

Quite surprised that Mystery Jets are still deemed as relevant enough to continue being playlisted on Radio 1. Even at their peak, over 10 years ago, they really weren't that big.

Yes, and this isn't a very daytime Radio 1 song either. People often ask if a band has ever returned after being ditched by daytime R1. If I remember rightly, they were ignored for several albums until Greg started spot-playing Bubblegum and it ended up on the playlist. It's nice to see them there and the song does have a great message but not really feeling it that much, seems rather bizarre that they are getting daytime support. It's VERY 6 Music. The singles from the previous one were excellent though.

Also, someone on DigitalSpy was amazed that Amyl and the Sniffers were on the playlist. People that haven't listened for years really do think it is something it isn't i.e. a state-funded Capital.
