Chorus preview sounds meh. I still quite prefer "Ring Ring" atm.

I can already feel from that 12 second clip above it's going to be better than 'Ring Ring'

I’m guessing this is Mabel’s release as Jax and Galantis have new songs out

I heard about this on Radio 1 the other day and I thought...
Jax Jones - in the chart with MNEK Galantis - in the chart with Becky Hill Why do people have to release so many songs in quick succession these days? They're as bad as Ed Sheeran. |

Mabel’s currently not in the chart, and it’s her single as lead artist.

I’m actually really liking this after a few listens! A lot more cohesive than Let Them Know.

This sound is getting very old and dated now

You'd be forgiven for thinking this was just Jax and Mabel really, not sure where Galantis are contributing First listen of it was pleasant enough, I rather like the chorus.

it’s very club ready made.
The chorus is the only decent part about it tbh |

This is... even more generic than I expected? So faceless and bland, all three of them can do better than this.
(I know it's a dancey song but should this not be in R&B with Mabel's threads as per the general consistency rule of thumb? Or they should probably all be moved to Pop really by this point) |

Or they should probably all be moved to Pop really by this point) Given that Mabel is the lead artist, I am inclined to agree with this, but I would strongly suggest pop over R&B. EDIT: Moved into the pop forum unless someone objects. |

This is a lot more comparable to Let Them Know than Ring Ring. LTK clicked a lot faster with me but I think this will be a grower.

I'm so over this already. If the album is going to sound like Good Luck I hope when it flops they scrap it and go back to the High Expectations sound.

It's definitely better than most of the HE singles, not sure why some people seem to not like it for being 'generic' when DCMU, Mad Love, Boyfriend etc are all more basic than this? I like all the snippets she's teased from the new album and people who've heard it said its great, but if she was to reuse a previous sound she could make her own lane doing more stuff like West Ten which was great |
