I loved how in the bits they showed on ITV News, Mel B was giving a heartfelt appeal to all the dads out there to support their kids and that brutish lawyer woman butts in and goes 'Mr Murphy, we'll see ya in court!'

It has been confirmed that Mel B is a contestant on the US Dancing With The Stars!
QUOTE Mel B, Jane Seymour sign up for 'Dancing' Wednesday, August 29 2007, 13:25 BST (08:25 ET) By James Welsh, International Editor 'Good Morning America' / ABC Scary Spice Girl Mel B is to compete in the American version of Strictly Come Dancing, it was announced today. Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron and reigning champion Apolo Anton Ohno made the announcement on ABC's Good Morning America. Competing with Mel B will be Jane Seymour, Marie Osmond, Wayne Newton, Floyd Mayweather, Helio Castroneves, 90210's Jennie Garth, All My Children alum Cameron Mathison, model Albert Reed, The Cheetah Girls' Sabrina Bryan, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, and Josie Maran. Explaining why she signed up to the show, Jane Seymour told GMA: "My mum's very ill in England and this turns out to be her favourite show ever... I just couldn't give up learning something new at this point in my life from the best in the business." "It's incredible family television and a dream come true," she added. The new season will kick off with three opening shows: the Monday night will see the all-men performance, the women on Tuesday night, and the first elimination on the Wednesday. Dolly Parton has been lined up for the first musical guest spot, with Avril Lavigne and Gloria Estefan appearing later in the show's run. Dancing with the Stars season five kicks off on September 24. I just wonder how on earth she can fit in that along with tour rehersals and possibily promoting the Greatest Hits and Children In Need Single (if that is going ahead)!!!!!!!!!!! |

Mel B Cha Cha Cha - Dancing With the Stars, Week 1
Tue, 25 September 2007 Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice, prepares to take the stage on the hit ABC show Dancing With The Stars on Monday. Her new husband, Stephen Belafonte, turned up to support his wife in the dance competition. Belafonte began swaying his hips in response to Mel B’s sneak peak dance routine. When asked if Stephen, whom she married in June, also dances, Mel B purred to OK! “For me, at nighttime, he does!” Pictured below: 8-year-old Phoenix Chi and her 5-month-old baby Angel Iris. Watch Mel B's Cha Cha Cha from Monday’s episode of Dancing With the Stars. Not too shabby! WHAT DO YOU THINK of Scary Spice’s first dance on DWTS? QUOTE Mel B has revealed that her husband Stephen Belafonte has been supporting her progress on Dancing With The Stars.
The Spice Girl has been asking Belafonte to practise dance routines with her at their Hollywood home, and the extra training has helped Mel to land a place in the final six. "I make him stand there and I dance around him," Mel told WENN. "He's terrible. But he's a good stand in - he's good at standing there and staying still." It was recently claimed that Mel's success on the show was causing tension between the Spice Girls. Digitalspy |

Mel B has been criticised for demanding a £10K fee to take part in a festive fundraiser, according to a report.
The Spice Girl made an appearance at Selfridges in London this week, singing festive songs and collecting donations from members of the public for the Make a Wish Foundation, which helps terminally ill children. Before the event, Mel's US agents International Creative Management had negotiated the £10K payment for her trouble - which led to her being branded a Scrooge at the store. "All Mel B did was sing a couple of Christmas songs, sign autographs and mingle with the crowd collecting donations in a plastic bucket," a Selfridges insider told the News of the World. "And for that she pocketed £10,000 that should have gone to needy kids. "Many people felt she should have waived her fee. It's the least she could have done to help raise cash for the kids." "Everyone was thrilled when Mel B agreed to appear," the source added. "With the Spice Girls in town for their tour it was a real coup to get her. It's shameful shoppers gave up their hard-earned cash yet here was a Spice Girl giving nothing." Mel's agents ICM initially refused to comment on the newspaper's story. However, the singer's representatives have since had a rethink and announced that her fee will be donated to kids' hospitals in America. Digitalspy |

Emma has done a couple of backing vocals for her in the past hasnt she? Hope its a stomper and not a sickly ballad |
