After all that......

Wenger is staying at Arsenal on a two-year deal:

Two more years of comedy, rants and banners! biggrin.gif

Seriously though Arsene Wenger deserves to stay after winning the FA Cup and building a good legacy over the past 20 years.

QUOTE(RabbitFurCoat @ May 29 2017, 07:51 PM) *
That play-off final summed up my initial thoughts, that they were two of the worst teams that have made it to that stage. Both have performed well above their expectations but are ultimately a bit rubbish, delighted Huddersfield went up of the two but fear they'll end somewhere between Derby 07/08 and Sunderland 16/17, five of their key players were on loan!

I support a team who stayed in the division on goal difference, and saw them deservedly batter both Huddersfield and Reading only last month.

Would Wednesday or Fulham have been much better? I've not followed the Championship in close detail this season but it's seemed like the top two were way ahead of the rest, and there were half a dozen similar-ish teams who could have made the playoffs.

The drama will never be over with Arsenal and Wenger but he's probably more than 50% of the reason I support them so it's good news in my book.

Could be a long season for Huddersfield, I fear. Great to see them in the league. Hoping not for a few stuffings from other teams.

Huddersfield's only goal in the play-offs was an own goal in the semi-final. Has any other team managed to win the play-offs without any of their players scoring? laugh.gif

Watford, Crystal Palace, the three promoted teams all contenders for relegation next season, I reckon.

I think Newcastle will stay up next season, not so sure about the other promoted teams. New fixtures for 2017/18 get announced on June 14th at 9 AM.

I renewed my season ticket earlier this year and I've just got an email offering me a parking spot for the year for every home game, this'd be fab if I had to travel into the stadium no doubt. But it's in car park N4, which is genuinely further from the stadium than my house is laugh.gif

Craig Shakespeare has named as the permanent manager of Leicester City. No surprise there really.

It looks like Zlatan Ibrahimovic isn't going to be offered a new deal by Man United and he will leave. I will miss him a lot if he goes but it's not surprising because of his injury, it looks like he will be out of action for most of the 2017/18 season.
