Sunday Chart Predictions
Predicting the 03/05 to 09/05 chart
I really like you but I can’t keep cool about it
For a third week, the Top 2 should easily remain static with 30k+ worth of streams on their sides, keeping Carly Rae Jepsen from getting any higher than #3 with her new single 'I Really Like You'. Also in the Top 10 should be a new entry from Alesso with the Kylie-sampling 'Cool' (featuring vocals from Roy English) and possibly Iggy Azalea and Jennifer Hudson's 'Trouble' which has been jumping up the chart the past couple of weeks. Elsewhere, new entries should include Skepta's 'Shutdown' and AronChupa's 'I'm An Albatroaz' whilst a big climb may be in store for Jack Ü (Diplo and Skrillex) and Justin Bieber's 'Where Are Ü Now'.
In the albums, Blur should receive their 6th number one with eighth studio album The Magic Whip - their first in 12 years! Joining them in the Top 10 may be The Proclaimers with Let's Hear It for the Dogs, whilst other new entries should include Jules Knight's Change Of Heart, Zac Brown Band's Jekyll + Hyde, Martin Gore's MG, Tracey Thorn's Songs from the Falling, George FitzGerald's Fading Love, Three Days Grace's Human and Mew's + -

Alesso's Cool is now up to 4th on UK ITunes... really been climbing well..... Can it sneak a top 5? not sure streaming enough? Obviously sampling Kylie's epic and under achieving dancefloor smash 'Get Outta My Way' is doing the trick
I hope Wiz & Omi will manage another week of big sales if they're both going to hold CRJ out of the top 2
7k gap between Carly and Wiz.
I really wish Carly could hold that!
Any chance of her keeping #2 if she's that far ahead of Wiz?
I'm shocked but it's a happy kind of shock! I wonder if Carly's preorders were a little more substantial than we gave her credit for!
Has she got any UK promotion lined up?
Can anyone tell me how ALesso Cool is doing on streaming?
Ideally Carly for #2 on sales and #3 combined, and Cool for top 5 sales and maybe 7 ish combined
Alesso #4
I'm assuming Jess makes up the top 5.
Hope Blur are exceeding my expectations!

Iggy! Really hoping she can hold that top 10 placing!
With those sales, hope Blur can crack 100,000 sales by the end of the week. If it does, it will be the fastest selling album of 2015 so far. If they don't do it, hopefully Mumford & Sons will do it the following week
#3 is 8.7k behind Carly then, no way she won't get caught by both of them.
Where's 'Lean On' and 'Someone New' (this one only if you have outside top 40 info)?
Carly very comfortably Top 3 on Sunday then.
And for anyone that wants Mariah Carey's position #86
Fallers from last week's top 40 singles chart 35, 36, 37, 38, 39
Lol at Taylor Swift back up the chart, she probably drop out of the 40 by the end of the week... again
And the top 40 is Sam Smith free pray it stays that way.
Any updates for the prodigy?thanks
Where are kodaline?
Excellent that Albatraoz is that high up, should be certain of a top 40 result now which is good considering the way they've screwed around with the release.
Praying that Cool can stay top 10, I'm getting massive Higher vibes from it though.
Great start for Blur, im hoping they can manage 50,000 but think 45,000 is where it will end up. At least its sales are half decent and much better than the last 3 weeks sales at number 1, it will be close between the Prodigy and Blur in debut week sales.
I am surprised (happily) to see Carly number 1 in the midweeks, also surprised to see OMI number 1 on itunes, could we have a proper battle for number 1 on our hands yet this week? i do hope so,i do like the surprise element of who will be number 1 every now and again.
I really hope Hozier's someone new can crack the top 40 i dont mind when as long as it happens, take me to the church is selling reasonably well and overshadowing its existence as a single, im also hoping the album will re-peak at some stage.
Absolutely chuffed to see Public Service Broadcasting back in the top 40 albums. Presumably their sold-out tour is helping this out. It could be on its way to going Silver at this rate, which would be ruddy marvelous.
Great start for about there hopefully they'll break 40k. And Cheerleader in with a real chance this week or def next! Fair play to them, clearly a popular song!!
Hope Hozier breaks the top 40 and Lean On could end up as high as 4 by Sunday!
Anyone got madonnas position?
Is passenger still top 40 in the albums?
Really pleased with 37k for Carly, even though it's not going to be number 1. Jess Glynne was only at 2k more at this point on her first week at #1, and she'd had the number 1 effect to help her.
Hoping Carly manages 81k+ on Sunday and becomes the fastest selling #3 since Gangnam style at the end of 2012!
Could you, please, tell me if TT are back in top 40?
5 new entries top 40 is good to see. Yay 'Someone New' top 40
They've been doing some form of competition all day that triggers when Muse songs are played. Originally I was so confused lol, I don't think the likes of competitions should be included during the already limited chart update!
God, that new Hozier track is DIRE.
If this song is overplayed as much as TMTC, it's going to be torture.
Really hope Carly has nabbed that Chart Update #1, might help increase airplay somewhat.
Alesso down to 6 today from yesterday's 4. I reckon it's going to miss the top 10 but I hope it doesn't. It needs to be streamed as much as "Heroes (We Could Be)" was
I think being 59p might keep Alesso just stable enough to stay top 10 on Sunday. Depends if it gets some streaming sales, hopefully when Spotify updates today, it'll be safely top 100.
- Hurrah for Carly holding onto that #1 for the update . Knew she would with a 7k lead yesterday. Though that's going to be a lot smaller now.
Excellent news for Major Lazer being top 5, and Iggy getting a more stable top 10 placing.
Iggy #8, up a place from yesterday!!
Carly #1, I wish SO MUCH she could keep that. Grrrrrrr.
Carly is just 1,000 copies ahead, it be toppled tomorrow

It also looks like Wiz Khalifa will be #1 until the LunchMoney Lewis song is released. I hope Omi can squeeze in a week at #1 by the time the LunchMoney Lewis song is released
Wow at Talking Body already being 91 in the midweeks! People must be streaming the remixes as well as buying them.
yay at a Sam Smith free top 40! He's #41 though so will probably be there on Sunday when Style inevitably suffers from the weekend streaming effect
good to see Skepta and AronChupa safely top 40 and Alesso inside the top 10 Really hope 'Cool' can stay top 10 on Sunday but streaming will probably kick it out.
Looks like we can add Carly to the list of midweek #1s that didn't make it officially then, as Wiz & Omi should easily overtake
Carly has done remarkably well to cling on for the chart update #1, given the rate at which Wiz Khalifa and OMI are being streamed!
Finger crossed that Alesso can retain his top ten status against the weekend tidal streaming surge! Pleasing to see AronChupa and Skepta on course to crack the top40 on Sunday!
Good to see Take That and The Shires getting tour boosts for their under performing albums and entering back into the Top 40 after dropping out of the Top 75
Also some decent movement in the singles chart - Ciara at #70, This really deserves to be a hit - Hopefully Radio will pick up on it. Mariah just making it at #94 although it's now on free fall on iTunes so will be well short of the Top 100 by Sunday
No suprise but ouch at Conor slumping to #89 - Bit of a disastrous comeback
Great sales for Blur, I am properly loving “Lonesome Street” at the moment!
Any particular reason Maroon 5 have jumped into the albums top 10?
Only the assumption of the success of their singles and the low sales?
Catfish probably will, but surely you could already get the one song anybody actually wants from the Mark Ronson album for 99p?
Take that back in the top 40 albums
Yes at Jess back upto #4 in that update. Looks like she's gonna have a very healthy chart run with this 😙
It's a shame Carly is set to lose out on the #1 though :/
The tour is benefiting the album sales greatly of Take That. Top 30 possibly on Sunday.
Hope we get an update today
I know Im justdying to know lol, appreciate the hard work!
Carly will end up at #3.
When was the last time #1 & #2 did 100k+ for 3 weeks??
Hoping Iggy clings onto that Top 10 position just so this song can die a reasonable death
Hopefully big boost for the Taylor album this weekend - Currently 99p on Google Play, Such a brilliant album
Hoping Charli XCX returns to the top 75 with Sucker on Sunday from her 99p benefit.
Great news for Blur I must admit I do prefer their older stuff i.e. 'Parklife' and 'The Great Escape' eras - I'd say '13' as well in that list - but it's pleasing to see they can come back 12 years after their last album and still do so well.
Should get an update this morning from MW at some point, as for sales is another different matter.
Your host will be Joe. acting on my behalf.

That's it for Carly then, #3 it is! Still an awesome result.
Iggy still #8 Could possibly make #7 if Alesso falls behind!
Sucker back in the top 40
Shoot any requests over - Only have the top 40 though.
Was George Ezra's album 99p on Google Play? It was #13 in the previous update.
I'm pretty sure Hozier hasn't slipped out since it's 22 on iTunes
anyway decent result for Carly. Shame it wasn't Omi at #1 though, so bored of that Wiz track already
Is Lethal Bizzle still in the top 40? also do you have any idea of the kind of lead Wiz has on Omi?
I see Sam Smith is at #40 in the singles chart, probably not a Sam Smith free chart on Sunday after all, will climb a couple of places on streams
Do you know if TT are still in top 40, please? I see they're no longer at 35.
Carly for #3 then *sigh*
Praying it gets #2 on sales though!
1989 please
Sam Smith is also in the running to sing the James Bond theme to the new Bond movie later in the year. I must admit I do like Bond themes, but Sam Smith singing it could be a different matter, on the other hand Florence + The Machine could do even better if they are approached.
Cue more Sam Smith haters
1989 will go up as it's 99p today.
Major Lazer's streaming power
Is Mariah still in top 100? Thanks
Is the Sia album in the top 10?
I really hope Take That can stay top 40 on the album chart.
Sia has fallen to #14. Nothing for Mariah in the top 40 which is all we have.
Hadji
Makes every sense for it to be him, proving Jameela's theory correct!
There's no chance than AronChupa drops out of the top 40 now. Oh well, hopefully it will only pollute the chart for a week before dropping out.
XCX at 23
Defo my favourite album of the year, so consistent.
Hope she improves on her dreadful sales by staying around a long time
