Given they're about the only people to achieve the amazing feat of making Sam Smith sound listenable, I'm optimistic about this!
excited for new Disclosure! Sam's collabs are much better than his solo stuff so also looking forward to his contribution.
can't wait to hear this
hopefully this can save the era after the massive floppage of 'Holding On'
Finally, maybe there will be a second Disclosure single that I like.
very excited to hear this!
From https://twitter.com/disclosure/status/625395217252749313:
am i the only one with absolutely no interest?
i'm tired of sam's voice still and they've done a single together before
all feels a bit pompous
I expect I'll hear this and just think I'd like it more with anyone else singing. Latch is an excellent song but I just can't listen to it anymore, his voice puts me off that much
GASH
I like. Their best from this era for sure.
It's not very good.
Disclosure have disappointed me this era except for 'Holding On', and even that doesn't compare to some of the best from Settle.
Holding On is my #2 Disclosure track now, and Omen is pretty great too. Insane beat. Just a shame it's become fashionable to hate on them all of a sudden.~
I really liked their music and now I do struggle with it. It all seems so 'not quite there'.
^Yeah, I'll echo that really.
Omen's OK, but it just falls a bit flat next to Latch (which I know is a tad unfair, but that's clearly what they were going for). I guess with Latch, Sam Smith was then pretty unknown so it was a nice surprise, now I'm just sick of hearing his voice so it puts me off. Overexposure curse.
How refreshing to hear him on a dance track again
Sounding pretty good atm. Very slick & much prefer it to Latch which I never got the love for.
Unsure on how it'll do chart wise. Obviously better than their last 2 but it's not quite stand out enough for me, guess we'll see how much Sam Smith's name tag will benefit...
it's like a mediocre version of their own past glories rly
I love it but, for me, they're at that stage where it's practically impossible for them to put a foot wrong for me...
I'm a little bugged that it sounds far too close to the track they did for Mary J and the album seems, as so far, much in the main of R&B than club/house flare.
We'll see...
Finally listened to this. Not bad! Already prefer it to Latch which was ok. About time we had more Dance Smith!
