Do people think Man United have made any progress since they won the Europa League back in 2017?? Ever so slightly. Yes, they will point to finishing 2nd but do people believe they are the 2nd best team in the country? I suspect most fans and pundits do not. They got dumped out of the Champions League in albeit a hard group, but one they should have qualified from. The same problems are there from when Ole first joined and a lot of these problems have been masked by Fernandes. I'm just not convinced Ole is the man to win trophies at Utd, no matter how much his mates at BT Sport tell us all otherwise. Rashford really has not kicked on, he shows glimpses every now and again but that's not good enough. He was the worst player on the pitch yesterday. |

Rashy needs a f***ing rest. He is playing in pain (he was wincing and limping at points last night) and Ole hasn’t yet properly benched him for a long period to allow a proper recovery.
The last thing Rashy needs to be doing now is the bloody euros. Why’s that, you not a Scot? I’ve never supported the Scottish national team, mainly because they’ve been in like two tournaments in my whole life. I’ve always supported the German national team in international comps. |

Agreed Rashford looked injured last night and very poor from Ole to keep playing him. He will say he didn't have options on the bench, but he did. Woeful management to save 4 of his subs for penalties! Sounds like Rashford will be on the plane to the Euros but I doubt Greenwood will. I don't think he gets in to the starting XI currently though.

Always been a Ireland fan! |

Embarrassing really not to win that match. Especially as we were so convincing in all the other KO rounds. Definitely a mentality problem with the players, and Ole got stage fright when it really mattered to put the demons to rest about not winning anything. Getting second is all fine and dandy but without backing it up with at least something else it's been a poor season. Shouldn't have needed to go extra time let alone pens, awful awful awful.
I can only ever remember De Gea saving one penalty against Leighton Baines who was actually a penalty specialist which makes it all the more bizarre. Aside, that was the highest quality penalty shoot-out I've ever watched. |
