re: Shape Of You - I think I got bored of it around the time it reached #1 in US radio for its third week, but it’s back to being enjoyable. The Ed overload has really taken a toll on me, though... I didn’t like Castle On The Hill for a while but then got to enjoying it when it was peaking, and I avoided Galway Girl for the longest time after the top 10 became the top Ed tracks tongue.gif

Hi Dobbo

I prefer How Long to Attention too! Both sound pretty similar I guess but the former is just that extra bit catchier for me. Loving this sound he's gone for this era though, I hope the album is more of the same and is a big success for him because it seems he's really found his sound recently music.gif

Omg at you not getting bored of Shape of You though, I wish I could say the same drama.gif I don't hate listening to it now so much but there was a period where I had to turn it over if it came on the radio. It's a shame too because I absolutely loved it for a couple of months but radio really need to know when to let a song go laugh.gif cry.gif

Yeah I'll definitely be taking an interest in the album, more of these catchy upbeat tracks I hope!

I don't listen to the radio or TV much so I only ever really heard it on the Chart Show & my personal playlists so it wasn't affected by overexposure so much luckily. But I'm sure radio went overboard with it as you say!

QUOTE(dancember @ Dec 16 2017, 10:33 PM) *
That Metrik song must've passed me by but it's sounding great. I also liked 'Chasing Sunrise' a fair bit last year, and 'Tension' with Fred V & Grafix.

Also like Gypsy and They Don't Know. I was kinda into Shape Of You and What Lovers Do for a few weeks but they got old fast.

Chasing Sunrise was good too but not quite as brill as this. I think I recall Tension? I'll have to give it another spin...

I expected them both to get boring quickly for me too but neither really did somehow.

It's only really Shape Of You I properly liked. Castle On The Hill is up there with his worst ever & I enjoyed Galway Girl but only for the short-term, find it a bit annoying now laugh.gif

Gypsy wub.gif One of my favourite winners this year, a great dance track but with a swing twist as well!

Shape Of You: A good song, but I want to listen to it on my own, than every single time on the radio, for that we have "Perfect" now from the same artist!
What Lovers Do: The best song from their new terrible album and possibly the best Maroon 5 single since "Makes Me Wonder".
How Long: Thank god, Charlie doesn't suck on this and "Attention"! It's a great song with a great beat and a catchy chorus!

Hey Dobbo!

I never really got bored of Shape of You either actually, I could still put it on now and enjoy it! But then I've always enjoyed Ed Sheeran more than the typical Buzzjack user anyway heehee.gif

Cloudbusting and Unbreakable are my two favourites of your tracks in your end of year top 100 that I have heard (haven't heard all of them).

Unbreakable is a fab vocal trance tune and much better than 'Saving Light' imo, Dan's other more successful BJSC vocal trance entry.

Although I much prefer the original demo 'Everytime It Rains' to 'Cloudbusting' as I like the additional violins in the climax of the song.

Wht Lovers Do is such a bop, I do miss old Maroon 5 but they do bring out some absolute stompers to make up for it *.*

Was definitely my fave this year! Mind you I didn't find the quality of winners generally as strong as it was last year.

Perfect is getting a bit boring now already whereas I never got that with Shape Of You. Also doesn't help he's put out these 2 massively inferior remixes as well...

Wow that's going back a bit! I agree it is their best in a good while, probably since One More Night for me, loved that back at the time.

2 great tracks put out by him this year, colour me surprised!

It was a great surprise to hear that for the first time & instantly like it, not common with M5 tracks.

Likewise, I do enjoy it on the very rare occasion I hear it now.

He's still very much a hit & miss artist for me, I'm just glad most of his single choices this year have been pretty good.

Agreed I much preferred Unbreakable (although Saving Light is great also), preferred the pace of it & the Spanish vocals!

It was a really good demo version that, shame that couldn't be incorporated more into the final studio edition.

Agreed, they generally just put out any old rubbish these days but they still know how to write a catchy hook!

The Top 4 are all songs I'm aware of but haven't really given a second thought to even though they sound nice. I do love Solo Dance though, I wasn't expecting him to better All I Wanna Do but he did wub.gif Such a shame he probably won't be able to better this though sad.gif

Nice to see Runway, Jag Trodde Anglarna Fanns and Jenny Top 40 as well!
