But Kylie Minogue is set to have another glittering appearance as she is going to open this year's Strictly Come Dancing launch show.
The singer, 51, will be joined by DJ Mark Ronson, 43, as they kick off the much anticipated new series of the BBC One show.
The Spinning Around hitmaker will belt out a medley of her biggest hits, and as per usual on the show, will be surrounded by a plethora of professional dancers.
According to The Sun, Her performance is set to come before this year's crop of celebrities find out who they will be paired with.

I'm hoping this is is only one of a few promo slots on the way as I think if she promotes she will really boost sales.

^^ I’m sure there is plenty lined up tbh, but SCD is a major one and acts always seem to get an album rather than single boost after performing which is just what Kylie needs.

With Kylie doing a Strictly performance, it may indicate she is ready to go on the promotional trail.
Outside Glastonbury, the album has not received any other promotion.
If Kylie got the promotion slots she got with her Kylie Christmas release, sales of SBIT could really increase, especially with the boxset and possibly another edition coming our way.

Strictly usually helps with album sales rather than singles which is applicable as its the album we want to see selling.

Yes its album sales we need from this performance as we know there will be no big surge in single sales for Kylie.

A real good medley of songs for Strictly would serve in the best possible way.
I think this approach would be better than doing 1 song.

Going by previous years, the Strictly launch show will probably be Saturday 7th September.
I'm looking forward to this! I hope it's a properly mixed medley like the 2004 TOTP Rhythm of Love medley - suppose it could be the Shocked/Step Back in Time/Better the Devil You Know mix she did during the summer shows but I'd like to see it with different songs as that's quite similar to the TOTP one. I'd love a Light Years or an X medley but I guess it'll be Lucky, Locomotion, Spinning Around and Head that gets used.

Yes a medley like totp would be great, dancing I think will def be included if it's a medley along with ISBSL or loco motion, CGYOOMY, BTDYK, All the lovers ,and Spinning around.

A medley without doubt is the way to make the most of the performance slot.
If a medley goes ahead i would predict:
Cant Get You Out of My Head
Step Back in Time
Love at First Sight
Dancing
All The Lovers.

That would be a wasted prime time performance slot as the song is not strong enough to sell the album.
Performing a strong song from her extensive back catalogue would have more of an effect and a medley would likely lead to the maximum effect.

Strictly Come Dancing should reach an opening audience of close to 10 million.
Such a performance should stand SBIT greatly.

There was a video of Bruno Tonioli dancing to 'Better the Devil You Know' at one of the rehearsals so it seems that will be performed. I assumed the performance could be a repeat of the 'Step Back in Time'/'Shocked'/Better the Devil You Know' medley Kylie did during the summer shows, but this rumoured Devil/Lovers/Sight/Dancing medley would be great!

With sales low and the fact it’s the opening show of SCD which will attract healthy viewing figures I’d be shocked if SBIT didn’t return to the Top 40.

Will definately help the album.
it will miss the Saturday shoppers as it is shown Saturday night but should pick up some Itunes sales etc.
I think it will definately go top 40 again, maybe top 30. They should do some kind of price promo too
Are we getting Tove Lo collab on Friday 6th too? that would be good.

Will defo return to top 40
it will be all over the BBC all weekend and on catch-up all week etc.
should get 8-9 million viewers. Glasto go 4.5 million viewers.
how many more people want a kylie Grestest Hits that havent got already is another question though.....
Rumour has it Tove Lo track get an airing on Friday?

My prediction is Dancing will get the bigger boost as to the general public it would be the lesser known song.
I also see Dancing always receives a strong boost after any performance.

The performances do pay off for dancing, it all helps in it getting to 200,000.

Expect LAFS will receive the lowest boost but all 4 tracks are iconic. Dancing and ATL always do best after promo.

Very nice but not sure if it will do much for her album sales. Let's hope it can. Needed a bit more of a plug and also some Kylie stats lol like they do on xfactor. But lots will watch on catch up etc and fingers crossed

Well it's been a very good day for purchases of the album
Back up to 23 on UK Itunes with album lot of EPs and various ahead
Both Cds back in Amazon top 100
Apple top 350 again in streaming.
Must have been a lot of catch up viewers. Nice.

The TV ads are working too also Kylie always seems to do better on iTunes after the weekend after the new releases start to fade away.
Am sure it will get a decent boost this week but she needs something else to maintain it otherwise it’ll be straight out the T75 again.

Showing as #25 for me atm - I think sales are SO low on iTunes that literally a sale or 2 can make all the difference, I’ve seen random albums re-enter recently and others have erratic 33-117-51-189-44 chart runs on there.

The performance was good enough to attract sales.
Kylie has delivered better medleys previously but this was sufficient.
It would have been nice if they mentioned SBIT was now available.

#58 in the mids - as much as I don’t think they need to chase sales and reduce the album this would have been a perfect week to have the standard edition at £6.99 or something on Amazon.
