Chart Commentary
 There's no change at the top once again this week, as Rita Ora's Anywhere becomes only the third song this year to spend over two weeks at the top. It matches the three-week reigns of 1D bandmates Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson with their singles Sign of the Times and Back to You respectively. Anywhere became Rita's sixth #1 single, just weeks after she achieved a fifth with Avicii collaboration Lonely Together, which has tied this year's longest top 10 runner, currently on its 10th (non-consecutive) week in the top 10, matching that of Nemo Schiffman's I Don't Mind (achieved at the end of 2016 into the start of 2017). Elsewhere in this week's chart, we have debuts from Mr Eazi and PnB Rock, while Jessarae (more on him next), Alan Walker and Noah Cyrus achieve new personal bests.  Claiming this week's highest new entry is American singer/songwriter Jessarae, who made a minor dent on my chart last year with a demo of his song No Warning (released on his Soundcloud - a live version has since been made available on iTunes but no official studio version). Following support slots with 5 Seconds of Summer and Little Mix, Jessarae has released a new single for the first time this year, entitled Fishbowl. It's a quirky track with a huge singalong chorus and relevant lyrics, and as such, it gives Jessarae his very first top 10 hit, soaring to #2. Tom, formerly of boyband At Sunset, made his first chart appearance earlier this year, when Closure peaked at #2 behind Cheat Codes' No Promises. Closure was also one of my BJSC entries this year, and had a relatively lengthy chart run (for my chart's current climate, that is), becoming one of my favourite songs of the year. He finally follows it up with new single Figure It Out, which this week debuts at a very respectable #3, giving him a second top 10 hit out of two. (1+ weeks)  Also this week, I went to see Dua Lipa live at the O2 Academy in Brixton. She performed most of her self-titled debut album, and it was a phenomenal night. The crowd was fantastic and Dua's performing skills were brilliant, particularly as she had no dancers throughout. My highlights were Scared to Be Lonely and New Rules, leading to top 20 re-entries for both tracks (#15 and #19 respectively), while Blow Your Mind (Mwah) also re-enters at #32. Nice to see Decline enter! Hoping it can become RAYE's first proper solo hit! Great to see All Falls Down climbing as well - really growing on me, not the sort of sound I usually like but it is really catchy! Heard Kiwi for the first time on the X Factor last night - it's an interesting track, I quite like it! Great chart

"Anywhere" has hit potential, great to see my highest climber being your #1 again! Nice to see "Decline" & "Kiwi" debut, the latter being my favourite on the artist's album, hope it becomes a hit, even though I doubt it will be. Wow, you went to see Dua Lipa live? You must had a great time being on the concert! I hope I will see her in concert soon, considering Dua has been a favourite of mine since early 2016, when "Be The One" rocketed up in Germany's Top 100! Great to see some songs from her on your chart! Great chart overall! |

Great number one (Fun fact: as I am typing this comment Anywhere is playing  )Jessarae's song is really good! Tom Jay Williams is good but nowhere near as good as Closure. Call It What You Want is growing to be off my favourites Decline is so good Yay for the Kesha and Dua re-adds  I need to hear CNCO, Daniel Skye and Harry Gardener!
