It's of to a good start on itunes 39 so far on the UK Itunes it will probably climb a bit more then start to fall soon but hopefully it's supported by radio and climbs higher.

Fine China is excellent. Pretty instant really but still classic-sounding with timeless production. Great hook. And an interest visual in the video. Not much more you can ask for from a pop song in 2013 really. His best since Beautiful People.

If he's going to do stuff like this I'd rather he just go back to "Turn Up The Music" type stuff instead.

I swear his music videos get more camp as time goes by. Agreed. Some of the over the top, flamboyant dancing is a bit cringeworthy. I like the song but it still doesn't really impress me. I want something like 'Forever' or 'Pass Out', or even if it has to be a ballad then 'All Back' or something. His albums are so hit and miss and he releases so many singles and jumps from one genre to another with one character to another (one minute he's gangster then he's dancing then he's all puppy eyed then he's joking around) and it doesn't really tell you what kind of artist he is or what his albums are going to sound like. |

I'm guessing Xis going to be closer to Graffiti and F.A.M.E. than Fortune. Wasn't Fortune just an experiment into the world of dance/dubstep? I'd love if it was closer to Graffiti though. That was when he was at his best!

That was when he was at his best! I didn't buy Fortune but apparently the only dance songs on the album were the two singles and 'Bassline' (which I've heard and is alright). Apparently it's mostly weak mid tempo r'n'b stuff. Graffiti and F.A.M.E are both 60% amazing and 40% shit. |

Graffiti and F.A.M.E are both 60% amazing and 40% shit. Bassline isn't a dance song, it's a hip hop song with some dubstep synths in it. It's similar to Look At Me Now. But yeah, the only two dance songs on it were the singles. I thought the album was good, and it actually had a lot of up-tempo songs on, but it wasn't really hit-studded. It's like he thought he was safe with two run-of-the-mill dance tracks, so didn't feel the need to do anything else that was commercial with the rest of the album. That's not necessarily bad, but it's marketing suicide when you think about it. |

The album features collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Rihanna (although it was recently reported Chris wanted to pull the track from the album), Kelly Rowland, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, B.o.B. with 'a few more surprises to come'.
I actually might give this one a listen. Fine China was crap but I'm loving Don't Think They Know and collabs with Rihanna, Nicki and Kelly should be interesting. He has a good album or two so I'll view this one optimistically! |

New Flame is quite fantastic. As is Loyal. And Fine China is still a jam. Might have to check this out.

It should be said though that Loyal bears seriously strong similarities to Touchin, Lovin by Trey Songz and Nicki Minaj.

This still isn't out?! I assumed it had been released last December, the amount of singles that have been released already! "Love More" is the clear highlight of the singles but I'm interested in an Ariana collab. A shame he's such a waste of space himself.

'Loyal' is his best song for a long while and 'X' sounds alright on first listen (although I'm a sucker or any Diplo production)!
He usually has at least a few good songs per album so I'll certainly be checking it out. Like Theo says though, can't believe it's only just coming out?! So many push backs haha. |

I'm surprised he even got around to following through with this era after all the coinciding rehab and jail time. Though his cloud did have its silver lining, that being 'Loyal' and its accompanying music video, what a shaniqua ho-bop and possibly his best effort to-date?
