One Dance doesn't sell downloads, it's all about streaming. I'd say it might well drop below 10k and still be #1 if streaming continues as strong as it was last week.

And btw Astley's Portrait reached #26 in 2005 when sales were lot better in general so he's not that obscure, might very well have a top 10 album and that's not a huge surprise really.

I feel for JT - should've had a whole month at number 1 but has instead been denied every single week by unbelievably unfair streaming rules

Apologies, I was looking at the US column on Wikipedia. wacko.gif

Looks like it will be his best charting album since his very first.

The streaming rules have been the same for just under 2 years though and they've never really harmed other acts. It's just One Dance is adding on more in streaming than any other single we've seen so far (as far as weekly totals are concerned).

I've just updated the "Week By Week Stats" thread and Drake's sales trend has been quite interesting. Its weeks at #1 (number in brackets is stream sales):

21/04 | 072,615 | Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance (23,217)
28/04 | 115,078 | Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance (70,796)
05/05 | 128,535 | Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance (78,582)
12/05 | 140,731 | Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance (89,464) HIGHEST
19/05 | 123,519 | Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance (83,682)
26/05 | 104,998 | Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance (75,497)
02/06 | 092,593 | Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance (66,782)
09/06 | 084,742 | Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance (61,518)
16/06 | 072,934 | Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance (56,031)

Obviously it wasn't going to maintain 140k forever but its declined quite significantly every week since then and doesn't seem to be showing any signs of slowing down. Kungs on the other had experienced an increase of just under 20k in a week, so I definitely think he can snatch the top spot this week.

would love kungs to be #1 on friday w00t.gif wub.gif w00t.gif, however my hunch is that drake will scrape a 10th week at the top~ drama.gif

I have no doubt Kungs will be number 1 selling something around 73-75k. happy.gif Drake will sell less than 70k believe me.

Impressive from ELO at number 4 considering Album has been out for 11 years and boost seems to be from Vinyl Release...

As Jeff Lynne's ELO are performing at Glastonbury this could hold up in the Top 20 over the coming weeks.

There's definitely streaming missing but I wouldn't think there'd be "tonnes", probably the usual day or so going by where Hold Up is.

Magnetised at #30 is excellent, I hope it can stick in the top 40, its streaming isn't that bad, hopefully can remain kinda consistent on iTunes!
