After some time mainly listening to Kylie i decided to have a listen to Dannii's Hits and Beyond Album.
It served as a great reminder of the 5 Dannii songs i thoroughly enjoy and place them as my top 5 Dannii Songs.

Which Song do you like the most and the least.

Please vote and post your comments.

Who do you love now for best and disrememberance

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 8th November 2019, 11:17 AM

Was listening to love fight just now, didnt listen to it in ages, this really should have been a single.

Still displeased that they went for perfection , and so under pressure as singles.

She had so much better material recorded.

Originally AATW wanted ICSAN what was they thinking?

AATW stalled her career big time.

This Is It is the song i am currently enjoying so much at the moment.
I Begin To Wonder, is wonderful but would be my least at this current time.
Perfection was a very weak choice of single,Dannii had better to offer.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 8th November 2019, 11:34 PM

I never liked perfection, and so under pressure, the chorus is ok but uts forgettable elsewhere.

Posted by: pippa 11th November 2019, 02:30 PM

Perfection was lifeless, the song just doesn't build to anything which left it very forgettable.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 11th November 2019, 11:28 PM

Perfection was a song that reminded why I usually wasnt into dannii, she had a good run of singles before it and it helped me turn a corner with dannii and this turned it back a bit.

I've grown to really appreciate 'Perfection' more than I used to over the past 4-5 years, I always kind of liked it but at the time did feel like I bought the CD singles just to support her.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 12th November 2019, 01:34 PM

It's a song some her fans really like but it's not for me.

Posted by: pippa 12th November 2019, 03:14 PM

I would rate Touch Me Like That much higher than Perfection.
Touch Me Like That should have achieved more success.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 13th November 2019, 02:20 AM

I was surprised it did so bad as its catchy.

Posted by: pippa 13th November 2019, 02:58 PM

It was a relevant sound on release and Dannii was very in the public eye at the time which left it as a surprise when it missed the Top 40.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 14th November 2019, 02:46 AM

I'm trying to remember wasn't dannii still on x factor when this was released.

Posted by: pippa 14th November 2019, 04:58 PM

She was still on the show, it was her last year doing it i think.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 14th November 2019, 10:59 PM

I'm surprised I begin to wonder didn't chart better in oz and also here in Ireland and same with who do you love now.

Posted by: pippa 15th November 2019, 03:13 PM

Just researched her discography on Wikipedia and see I Begin To Wonder had a Number 14 peak in Australia and Number 20 in Ireland with Put A Needle on It out-peaking both in both charts.
Surprisingly, Put the Needle on It also out peaked Who Do You Love Now in both countries managing an Australian Number 15 and Irish Number 20.

At the time it was a surprise 'Touch Me Like That' didn't get any Radio 1 support, considering they made a big deal out of giving the song its premiere. I had high hopes she might use her X-Factor platform to perform it but didn't. It's like the entire thing just fell flat by the week it was released.

Posted by: pippa 15th November 2019, 06:44 PM

Many expected the X Factor performance but people also mentioned Dannii may not have felt confident enough.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 16th November 2019, 01:08 AM

Dannii really should have taken advantage of her time on x factor and performed as back then a performance resulted in a great chart boost.

Posted by: pippa 16th November 2019, 02:27 PM

It was a huge mistake not to have done so, i do believe Dannii could have an extra couple of Top 40 hits if she did.
She should also have had an album released around all her time on the show as X Factor was a big show then.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 16th November 2019, 04:07 PM

If she had taken advantage like cheryl she def would have had a couple of more hits,

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 16th November 2019, 07:04 PM

My theory is that they probably didn't let her, rather than it being her choice not to perform.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 16th November 2019, 08:08 PM

Why not though, was it that they didn't want it the show where its seen as all the judges perform?

Posted by: Euphorique 17th November 2019, 02:20 PM

In some countries "I Begin To Wonder" didnt do that well, cause the original version by JCA was a hit only a year earlier. And they're both very similar.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 17th November 2019, 04:51 PM

I never knew I begin to wonder was a cover, it's almost identical.

Posted by: Euphorique 17th November 2019, 06:29 PM

Yeah that version was played quite a bit here in Portugal for example, so Dannii's version was ignored.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 17th November 2019, 09:07 PM

Was the original a hit anywhere?

Posted by: pippa 18th November 2019, 03:04 PM

I am confused, as Dannii herself is listed as a co-writer on the track.

Posted by: vibe 26th November 2019, 06:02 PM

That is not the original. It was a dance anthem originally no lyrics .

Posted by: pippa 26th November 2019, 07:47 PM

That makes more sense of this to me.
With Dannii a co-writer on the track i was confused.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 26th November 2019, 11:08 PM

Well you learn something new every day so in a way it's similar to who do you love now.

Posted by: pippa 27th November 2019, 03:02 PM

Who Do You Love Now was a dance track and Dannii's vocals were added and i was aware of this history with the song but had no awareness it was the same with I Begin to Wonder.
