2 singles that many seem to feel like were bad choices as better choices were available on the albums they came from but which out of the 2 do you like more?
I Was Gonna Cancel
For me both should never have been singles but i do prefer where is the feeling. If where is the feeling remained an album track would appreciate it more but with i was gonna cancel i just dont like it regardless if it was a single or not.
I don't particularly enjoy either of these songs but Where is The Feeling is more listenable than I Was Gonna Cancel.
Love both but WITF is one of my favourite Kylie tracks
It is rare to read Where Is The Feeling as someones most liked Kylie song.
Songs are liked for so many reasons, a moment in time, a night out, been in company with a friend or a relative all helps make a songs memorable.
I wasnt sure how the breakdown of votes would go for this but uts close enough.
Both of the songs have their own small fanbase among the core base of Kylie fans.
I would have picked from reading a variation of comments on old threads both here and elsewhere Where Is The Feeling is the most popular of the two which the vote here reflects.
With Where is The Feelings have are divided between both the single version and album version.
I prefer the single version of where is the feeling to the album version maybe if ut waited album only I would appreciate the song more.
I prefer where is the feeling. Didn’t like cancel at all.
I dont think many people did
Some songs belong as album tracks only, by staying as album tracks they get more appreciation.
These 2 songs and 2 Hearts are 3 examples of this.
'Where is the Feeling?' is infinitely better than 'I Was Gonna Cancel'.
It doesn't deserve to be so overlooked and I think it gets unfairly criticised for being Kylie's then-worst performing single, as nothing was really going to stand a chance in the circumstances. It's a really versitile song and I enjoy it in many of its incarnations: the album version, the Dolphin (video) mix, the acoustic version, the Bish Bosh mix (played on radio and use for one of the live performances) and the West End TKO mix.
It was a disappointing chart position at that time although celebration peaked lower and it equaled word is out but it flew out of the chart very fast.
16-29- and the big fall to Number 63 was a huge disappointment for Where Is The Feeling.
Celebration did peak lower but had a slightly better chart run of 20-29-37-44-45-55.
Word Is Out climbing from 18-16 made its chart life look a little more decent.
I'd say celebration would have picked up more random sales over the years aswell.
Where is the Feeling? was definitely her worst performing single at the time, I just meant because of that fact it feels like it's assumed it must have been a bad choice of single, yet nothing else was likely to do any better.
Much prefer Where Is The Feeling! I Wanna Gonna Cancel is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad
Where is the feeling, really pulling away now.
Where is the Feeling deserves its win against I Was Gonna Cancel.
IWGC was a very trend following release that did not succeed.
Yeah "2 Hearts" was another that robbed a much better song from being a single.
It certainly robbed better singles a place of becoming a really strong lead single.
What would people have chosen?
I think she was in an awkward position at that point as Body Language hadn't been a huge success... releasing 'Wow' for example would have just been seen as an attempt to return to something she had done before.
The One was the ideal lead single or Like A Drug.
I don't think either of those would have performed as well as people think - although obviously can't really be sure!
I seem to go against the grain in this thread but even now I still prefer 2 Hearts.
The one would have smashed it as lead single I think.
Even looking at the results of this poll, i know Where is The Feeling is unpopular but it remains more popular over I Was Gona Cancel which has made it to Kylie's Definitive collection.
I don't relate I Was Gona Cancel in anyway Definitive.
Ya I really do not understand why it's made it, so many better songs that should have got its place, crystalize, better than today, flower and giving you up been just 4 of them.
Those 4 tracks should have made the cut with ease.
I specifically think Crystalize should be there a, we have mentioned it is not housed on any other Kylie album, whereas all the other songs are.
