On behalf of all of the mods, we'd like to say thank you to all of you for following what will likely be the most controversial Eurovision seasons we'll see for a long time (RIP Odessa 2020)
Over the summer we've got plans to do a big "best of the decade" 2010-2019 competition but we wanted to get some feedback about what you'd prefer over these next few joyless, eurovisionless summer months between Eurovision ending and Strictly starting.
So we want to know which of these you'd be interested in;
A) A "Super Eurovision" style contest with each year having a set of qualifiers, overall semi finals ect
B) A "Lovechart" style favourites submission contest
C) An "awards" for the decade (i.e. best winner, most unjust DNQ)
D) An "Almost Eurovision" editorial countdown of all the Eurovision songs that could have been in the last decade
Obviously it's only really A and B that can't be run alongside each other but other than that we could feasibly run all of these if the interest is there. So please do let us know in this thread what you'd like us to arrange for the Eurovision forum over the summer.

I like the sound of A & C. We certainly have enough time to do a Super Eurovision. Guess it could follow the Record of the Decade format perhaps? But with Eurovision points system. C would also be a fun option as we can talk both good, bad and crazy from the last decade!
I'd really like that somewhere, within all of the competitions, that there is some detailed retrospective of some of the songs that made Eurovision great over the last 10 years, with commentary and full discussion, rather than just a forum vote. I guess C might be the best format for that especially if we're discussing categories that are more than just the song's quality.
Super Eurovision would be an excellent way to finish the decade on the voting side though. I think better that than a self-selecting favourites thing as while it'll end up the same, the presence of more than just the usual suspects will give it a bit more interest.
And editorial countdowns are awesome (the best of what I want in my first paragraph) so being able to do that Almost Eurovision thing would be a huge bonus.
Basically, all sounds good and I'll be around to support you if you need it.
Would a 2010s rate not be possible?
I like the idea of a LoveChart type thing, that's a bit different to the usual Super Eurovision which we've had quite often! In the one in the lounge I love the clues aspect too, that provides a nice bit of discussion in terms of voting that you don't always get with other formats.
Awards would be fun too!
A and C sound like pretty fun ideas!

I really like the sound of Awards if we can come up with enough categories and run it in the style of the end of year Lounge Awards
The LoveChart sounds like a really good idea! Would definitely be the one I'd be most interested in as I have my favourites from each year ready to go (and making up clues would be fun).
My suggestion would be a Super Eurovision for the decade that was AND an all time Eurovision LoveChart. There's a long way until national final season so there'd be plenty of time for both!
