First veto!
Billie - Give Me The Knife 12 -Submitted by FIVE different people 12 -Charted by 1 individual -A lot of blog support, although not from massive blogs. -Won Popjustice Song Contest placing #1 with 197 points in comparison to the #2 receiving only 109 (not a factor but nevertheless still something) |

Oh good. I'm less gutted to have lost it.
Had no clue Popjustice had a contest tbh! I got it from a friend. Back to the drawing board. |

Lol been snooping in PJSC's last results thread! Funny how they talk about us much more than we do about them, we're clearly 'the' unknown contest to be Also it's so so cheap to enter a successful song over there in this contest as it's hardly your own discovery is it now

Big hits in PJSC often don't cross over in BJSC anyway - Oh, Be Clever's 'Next To You' did (yes I'm calling you out on that Yu x) but many others haven't at all, including CRIMINALLY 'Tigerhead' which was a deserved smash on PJSC but somehow DNQed here.
And as I said earlier, the song that came 2nd behind Billie on PJSC only came 14th here (Marian Hill - I'm quite surprised PJ were more receptive to that than we were to be honest!) |

To be fair, I hope OSLOL don't win because that "thing" over on Popjustice was a chore to read.

Yeah, the opposite seemed to happen with Elizabeth Rose, came 10th in our contest but 32nd in their contest! |

Confirmed, I wasn't in a hurry to confirm the track. I think its going to split the voters, but its quirky and very Paloma Faith (ish). Bre approves.

The best thing about PJSC is how well Asian entries tend to do there. Megitsune was a top 10 IIRC and Iinadukeblue managed to come 2nd <3.
Plus I find it funny how often entries turn up in both contests in the same month, and not only by the posters who enter both. So weird how they do it all in one thread though, must be SO confusing. (oh yeah, and I haven't confirmed yet, I am still taking my time to mull ~) |

I can confirm that I have confirmed. Only tangentially related but you should check out Hushkanukia's entry from last month (Jessica Lee 'Boomerang') if you haven't already, it sounded exactly like something I'd imagine you sending Welcome back again btw ~ Plus I find it funny how often entries turn up in both contests in the same month, and not only by the posters who enter both. Most oddly when Ida's 'Maybe I Like It' showed up in both in the same month (completely independently) - despite the fact the song was a good 2 years old by that point. |

I am going ISRAELI this time, yay more national diversity. (Coming to add an Israeli winner to my [pro-]Palestinian winner TBH). Also my second full foreign language entry just one month after the first ;o

She sounds really similar to someone I can't quite put my finger on it though. |
