I'm sitting with my Spotify library on shuffle and suddenly 'Centerfold' comes on and omg I forgot how good this is and just how much I love it
The more I think about it, P!nk has a lot of underrated songs tbh, she's quite underrated as an artist overall really but I wanted to know what songs you feel deserve more attention and/or are easily (and wrongly so ) forgotten about? I'm Not Dead is another, Walk of Shame, Bad Influence, 'Cuz I Can and Last to know are a few more perhaps This post has been edited by ℒ𝓲𝓷𝓭𝓼𝒆𝔂: 5th May 2016, 06:08 PM |

Pink is just very underrated in general. She always delivers yet people tend to forget about her when she's out of the spotlight.

I totally agree, she's never really had a flop era (Try This underperformed but it's like Leona's Echo to me, sold well but anything would have looked like a "flop" compared to Misundaztood) and her success is so consistent but she doesn't get the credit that the big pop girls do.
As for a song, the first thing that came to mind was Beam Me Up from the last album. It's so pure and raw, exactly the sort of ballad P!nk does best. |

I always think Nobody Knows is kinda underrated, especially when it comes to IND singles.
The Great Escape and Beam Me Up are her two biggest underrated ballads though. |

'Beam Me Up' was a highlight for me on her last album too! Totally agree that it's classic P!nk ballad material.
What's the reception to 'I Don't Believe You' like on forums? I remember being gutted that it amounted to basically nothing in the charts at the time (although I didn't realise it was like the 5th or 6th single from an album that had sold/was approaching 1 million sales). Just instantly hits me in the heart, I can pretty much envision the tears streaming down her face when her voice goes hoarse. |

I think that I Don't Believe You is rated quite highly among Pink fans and rightly so. I doubt many outside hardcore fans know of its existence though.

I Don't Believe You
It's All Your Fault is fabulous but it sounds like it should be a Kelly Clarkson song Long Way To Happy is one of my favourites but I think maybe it gets the hype it deserves but is forgotten about a lot if that makes sense? You're right though TBoy, she's so underrated in general, I could probably list 90% of her discography under this topic This post has been edited by ℒ𝓲𝓷𝓭𝓼𝒆𝔂: 5th May 2016, 09:09 PM |

Ah, that answers my question then! (So pleased it is so highly thought of!).
It is really strange how an artist can remain so underrated yet so successful at the same time. The like of Madonna, Kylie, Gaga, Britney, Katy Perry and Rihanna etc. have all had noticeably underwhelming periods of their career chartwise but P!nk has never fallen to the same lows - as Liam says, the Try This era is considered her least successful but even that has shifted well over half a million in the UK. Perhaps it's because she's a private person in comparison to other big pop names? - as T Boy said, she's pretty much forgotten about when she's out of the spotlight, but even when she is in it, it seems to only ever be about the music (a good thing, noless). It's also, in most cases, quite damaging if a popstar is out of the spotlight too long, yet P!nk can have a good few years in between albums and the hype returns almost instantly - just look at 'Just Like Fire' for instance. |

Not many artists could stay away for as long as Pink has and still have a good career, I think the fact that she always brings material of a brilliant standard and is consistent helps that, fans don't give up following her or anticipating her next release as we know that whatever it will be, it will be great and as cliché as it is to say, worth the wait
I hope she keeps making music for a really long time, she already has a lengthy career as it is as I've grown up listening to her, I always want her music to be a staple in my library, she's one of the few artists that I can't pin down to being meaningful to me at one point in my life, it's just been an ongoing thing and that's pretty incredible tbh |

The ones that spring to mind first are 18 wheeler, nobody knows, free, when we're through, and her cover of babe i'm gonna leave you
One of the things I love about Pink is that she is the underdog. Her face isn't on every product or every tv show. But she's still gaining more fans and selling out venues even though she's been around for over 16 years |

It's All Your Fault, The Great Escape, Heartbreaker and OBVIOUSLY I'm Not Dead.
I think these four songs sum up what Pink does best, from painful and emotional ballads to mid-tempo pop perfection and rocking out as well as writing outstanding lyrics. |

Definitely 'Boring' from Funhouse. 'Last to Know' and 'Trouble' also.

Try This is a very underrated album, even Pink herself doesn't rate it. I could listen to it all day tbh.

I'm Not Dead > Funhouse > Try This, although it quite often changes between Funhouse and Try This depending on my mood so they could even be on par with one another

Try This is a very underrated album, even Pink herself doesn't rate it. I could listen to it all day tbh. Seriously? I always thought it was her Stripped/My December (basically her "complete creative control" album). It is definitely her least commercial-sounding album so I wouldn't have thought that it would've been the label exec's choice to go with that sound.
