Wrestlemania weekend is here and starts tonight!

Based off Wikipedia's list of which days certain matches are on.. here's my predictions.

Rhea Ripley © v Becky Lynch <<< Becky doesn't need to win here and keeps Rhea looking strong for a while longer. Would have Bianca move to Raw in the Draft and topple Rhea then.

Judgement Day © vs Awesome Truth v New Day v D.I.Y. v A Town Down Under v New Catch Republic <<< I *think* two teams win one branded belts here although not sure but going with Miz/Truth for the Raw belts and I guess Dunne/Bate for Smackdown belts but Pretty Deadly would've made sense if they were in this too!

Rey Mysterio and Andrade v Santos Escobar and Dirty Dominik Mysterio >>> this feels way too overcrowded a storyline now but Dom can't lose twice to Rey surely? Carlito will turn heel and cost Rey and Andrade the match and am not sure they get on either much.

Jey Uso v Jimmy Uso <<< Jimmy does look like a chump in a lot of the big moments but considering he keeps screwing his brother it's surely nothing but a Jey win here.

Bianca Belair, Naomi and Bianca Belair v Damage CTRL << easy win for the former here as Jade didn't come to lose her first Wrestlemania. Shame for Asuka and Kairi as they are tag Champs too and DC have been a force but no contest and don't expect it to last very long at all!

Gunther © v Sami Zayn <<< expect this one is just my preference cause I don't actually think Sami needs to win here after having his wrestlemania moment last year and Gunther defending and retaining the IC title at two wrestlemanias in a row would be even more historic I'd say and he can always drop it on the Raw after mania this week anyway but tbh I do also see this prediction being wrong and Sami winning too. Not an easy one to call.

Rock/Roman v Cody/Seth <<< yep Rock and Roman are winning this one. No way Roman loses twice on both nights and it makes Cody's story that much more vulnerable with Bloodline rules stipulation too!

Will do predictions for night two tomorrow!

Those would be my exact predictions as well for the results of night 1's matches. I doubt The Rock will do much in the ring in comparison to the other guys in the tag match and I expect it to be largely Seth & Roman battling against one another. I think Rock will pin Cody to win the match which will lead towards "Mama Rhodes's tears" being shed.

The ladder tag team match is the one I'm most looking forward to from tonight!

I thought night 1 of Wrestlemania was decent, not as great as some of the other recent ppvs WWE have done but still enjoyable. I called Rock pinning Cody to win the tag match and I think that was the right way for the match to end. It was an entertaining match and I'm surprised at how much The Rock actually did in the match, I enjoyed the finish in particular and it had shades of last year's ending of Roman Vs Cody. It sets things up nicely for tonight for Cody Rhodes to try to overcome the odds and win the Undisputed Universal Championship.

I was surprised that Sami Zayn beat Gunther for the Intercontinental title but with his wife and kids appearing backstage and at ringside and also Kevin Owens giving Sami encouragement on his way out to the ring maybe those were the signs that he would win. I expect Sami to feud with Chad Gable over the title and Gunther to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at some point in the sping/summer just in time for Bash In Berlin.

I enjoyed the tag team ladder match and there were some nice spots and funny moments with R-Truth in particular, I don't think Judgment Day will carry on as a group for much longer after this and Domink Mysterio being on the losing team in his tag match.

I liked the finish of Rhea Vs Becky but the match as whole was kinda average to me. As was Jimmy Vs Jey Uso and the 6 woman tag team match I pretty much missed completely as I watched the ppv live but was out of the room for the majority of the match and it was over in a flash lol.

My night 2 predictions:

Seth Rollins Vs Drew Mcintyre = Drew win (It's time for Seth to drop this belt now and Drew has been doing some fantastic character work recently)

The Pride (Bobby Lashley, Angelo Dawkins, and Montez Ford) Vs . The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam, and Rezar) = The pride (Don't really care about this match tbh)

LA Knight vs. AJ Styles = LA Knight (I think this will be where LA Knight gets his "Wrestlemania moment", AJ Styles is already established and doesn't need the win as much)

Logan Paul © vs. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens = Logan Paul (I think the tension between these guys will continue after Mania which is why Logan Paul wins)

Iyo Sky © vs. Bayley = Bayley (Of all the matches at Wrestlemania this weekend this is the one you can bank on a certain wrestler winning, 100% guaranteed Bayley win here)

Roman Reigns © vs. Cody Rhodes = Cody Rhodes (I think it's now or never for Cody and especially with it now being a Bloodline Rules match I think he'll get the job done this time)

Will do a full comment on both nights tomorrow but Night2 Predictions

Seth v Drew = Drew wins and maybe a Damian Priest cash in like Simon Miller predicted too. Then Drew can win in Scotland and have a decent reign.

Bobby Lashley & Street Profits v Karrion Kross & AOP = Lashley and Profits win. Also don't care for this match.

LA Knight v AJ Styles = LA Knight

Logan Paul v Kevin Owens v Randy Orton = KO wins getting revenge on Logan by pinning him. Orton still feeling a bit soon to take a pin loss but that's until he has a one on one shot with Kevin and loses.

Iyo Sky v Bayley = Bayley of course

Roman Reigns v Cody Rhodes = I'll laugh if Cody loses after all of this, can we just get the 'Finish The Story' thing completed now so we don't have another year of it and likewise with Roman's reign too lol. Also will be a nice moment for Cody winning the title!

Cody Rhodes finally finishes his story and the 4 year title reign of Roman is over! A nice touch to see different people that Roman beat during his time as champion fighting off the interference from bloodline members and of course The Undertaker fighting off The Rock.

Damien Priest cashes in on Drew McIntyre to leave Wrestlemania as World Heavyweight champion. Bayley as predicted also defeating Iyo Sky to win the Women's Championship. Overall a really good night of drama and I preferred it to night 2.

My comments on both nights then..

Rhea v Becky was fine but underwhelmed a smidge for me as well. Rhea winning was the correct call.

Ladder match was fun amd dopy. Hope D.I.Y. win the Raw belts soon but R Truth having a moment was good too.

Andrade and Rey v Santos and Dom was a decent match and the women's trio match was good for what it was. Sami v Gunther was fab, one of the matches of the weekend and whilst I didn't mind Sami winning.. I feel Gunther won't be winning the world title till at least August so Could've kept the IC title on him for another month max but then again we had to have several big reigns end which was also okay and monumental as part of drumming it in to being a new era for WWE.

Cody/Seth v Bloodline was a lot of fun and I really loved Rock and Roman as a team especially.

Drew v Seth was a good opener for night 2, Punk getting involved and Damian cashing in and winning the title was also perfectly done.

Lashleys crew v Karrions crew was a lot more fun than I expected but still didn't feel that invested as the storyline for it all is just so meh. Happy it's finished with now.

LA Knight and AJ had a solid match, Logan/Orton/KO was entertaining. Kevin and Orton work so well when working together.

Iyo v Bayley = match of the weekend for me personally. Both really brought it and flowed excellently. Pleased to see Iyo especially get a lot of offense in too and Bayley getting her own Wrestlemania moment winning the title was much deserved as she was always in the shadows of the other three especially once Becky got elevated to the main event scene in 2019.

Cody v Roman = really good match and all the involvements were perfect too. Played out really well and was a lovely moment with Cody at the end.

Great weekend of pro wrestling. Shall be intrigued what comes up on Raw and Smackdown this week now!

Looking forward to the draft! There's bound to be some call ups from NXT and would also guess that Imperium and Cody Rhodes will get drafted to Smackdown.

Early predictions:

Mens MITB: Roman basil.gif (IMAGINE!!!!)

Mens MITB (real): Dominick
Womens MITB: Tiffany (I imagine they’ll wanna launch her as quick as possible and this would be the easiest and most effective way to do it)

Yeah I agree with Tiffany Stratton winning the Women's MITB. The men's MITB match is harder to predict but it would be very funny if Drew McIntyre won it and then cashed in on Damien Priest getting payback for Wrestlemania laugh.gif , however he'll probably leave the Clash at the Castle event in his home country Scotland as World Heavyweight Champion which would prevent him from entering the MITB match.
