Chart Commentary

A big thank you to all those 16 of you (that's a new personal chart record!) who commented on my personal chart last week, including Jason, danG, JSG, TheSnake, Sven10, HarryEzra, PeteFromLeeds, Cameron, Ðøßßø, Mack, Tombo, RobinJuanPersie, toffonews, JospehStyles, DalekTurret32 and popchartfreak.

It's been a busy week of chart movements, none more so than a new #1 single which happens to be an old #1 single! Röyksopp return to the top to enjoy their third week at the summit.

The first of 3 new entries to feature in the Top 10 is from Hailee Steinfeld & Grey feat. Zedd. This collaborative project has produced a fine piece of pop music which claims second place this week. Other new entries from Tchami & Malaa and OneRepublic take precedent in this weeks Top 10. NEIKED climbs an impressive 25 places to finish as this weeks #3. Galantis & Hook N Sling narrowly scrape into the Top 10 also.

Elsewhere this week there are 5 other new entries taking hold of a Top 40 placement, and many have been inspired by entries discovered within the personal charts of fellow BuzzJack members.

I used to love Hailee on Ender's Game film and now I'm loving her big hit Starving.
Oh yes at Sexual in the top 3 here. I don't think there's an official video for this, right?
OneRepublic didn't get a big boost from their X Factor performance.
Shame Meteorite was a big flop too.
I just need to inspire you any other song in the future!

Yay at such a high new entry from Hailee Steinfeld, her previous tracks have never really clicked with me but this was really instant so I'm really happy to see it climb so fast in the official charts too. Hopefully she has some other great future singles to come.

I'm not usually the biggest fan of OneRepublic either but think they've delivered two very solid singles so far this era, shame the album has somewhat underperformed when these two tracks are about 100000x stronger than the abysmal Counting Stars

Bit of a belated entry for OneRepublic there - it got to about the same number in mine recently, good song.

Years and Years entry as well which is good.

Lets beat that posts record

Three great dance tunes in top 12 wih Wings, Love On Me (both containing enough fun retro style funky house for me to like - I dont usually like tropical house but the disco influence of Love On Me and the disco strings makes me like that record).

My Way by Calvin is the third great dance tune in your top 12, I like Calvin's tracks where he sings on it and also it is flying the flag for progressive house in the charts (which sadly doesn't do as well as it did earlier in the decade in the charts any more)

Further down your chart, I like the Majestic song, real True by Jaimeson vibes as well as vibes from the bassline garage of 2008.

Interesting to see Filatov and Karas in the Top 5.... not sure they add much to the original unlike the Imany tracks which I think were not much known until remixed by Filatov and Karas.

just checking out Armand at last, I had no idea it was based around the old PhD hit, I like it. I'm buying it!

fab number one and 2 & 3 are growing on me now, which makes a whole top 5 I like.

love offaiah, galantis is fun, 2 more in your chart enter mine today (chainsmokers at long last and Ariana) and plenty of others I like too, though theyve dropped out my chart now (I have a fast turnover)
