Final round of voting has opened today. The fact that 'Derry Girls' hasn't made it to the final round in Best Comedy and Peter Kay and *shudders* Mrs Brown's Boys has speaks VOLUMES: https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/nationa...ations-13824355
Also as if Ant and Dec despite not being Ant and Dec officially for most of this year won't get the Presenter award by default. Also - Louis Tomlinson in the Best Judge category over Olly Murs? Give me an actual break. |

The nominations are voted from a massive longlist by the public, Louis was always going to be nominated with his massive 1D fanbase.
And Derry Girls is quite a niche comedy with a fairly small audience compared to Car Share and MBB. |

Yasss at Jodie of the Whittaker variety too - been a long while since an actor has been nominated for Doctor Who (since Matt Smith won in 2014 I’ve seen) so pleasing that the female Doctor has that recognition. Great to see the series get a nod too even if it wasn’t the best. It amuses me that Casualty continues to get a nod, the one time of the year their random rabid fans come out.
Very pleased for Car Share but Derry Girls is a big omission- the best comedy of last year! Talent Judge is a mess but then it’s a stupid category anyway. Overall, British TV wasn’t the best last year and the nominations feel cluttered with long-running shows, and the usual types.. Also, have they got rid of the International category? |

Yep, International hasn't been there since the 2016 awards |

Actual joke, Ant and bloody Dec FOUR episodes of Takeaway is all they've done and they'll still win out of pity. It should just be Dec, tbh he'd deserve it, but it just makes a joke of it all when they win every time. And I mean fair enough I guess when they win having done Takeaway, BGT and I'm A Celeb but it just makes the category a joke when they get it no matter what.
This is why I don't bother watching, it's the same crap that wins based on what gets the most views and overhype. Jodie Comer needs to win her award, what an actress *.* |

Glad to see both Jodies nominated.
Tough category - Jodie Comer, Jodie Whittaker and Richard Madden were all incredible in their respective shows. I think Comer edges it for me. A brilliantly played psycho. |

I do wish they kept international shows out of the nominations unless they had an International category again, because it is the 'National' TV Awards.
Though this year it would only impact The Big Bang Theory and possibly Killing Eve (as it was comissioned and originally aired on BBC America). |

Killing Eve is British-made anyway. It's a BBC production aired here on Three, it just happens to be a big US show too. It's the only one I've seen of those new dramas oops need to check out the others if I can

Not to get into petty semantics but Killing Eve is American made I thinkkkkk, as it’s BBC America which is a seperate entity to the BBC ie not funded hy the license payer etc. It’s owned by the commercial side of the BBC and AMC

Killing Eve was produced by Sid Gentle Films, who are based in London. But BBC America comissioned it, so I don't know

I think it's just a co-production (for want of a better word) so it's kind of equally American and British
