The usual Maltese national final is no more! Their own version of The X Factor is launching for the first time from October, with the winner going on to represent them at Eurovision next year.
Well after two non-qualifications, and then Ira Losco representing them before that with a song that didn't even win the selection, it's probably a good thing to try and change things up. |

Seen bits of her performances on Twitter, she has a great voice. It's got a unique edge but power as well, but she can be a bit strained at times I noticed. Hopefully she gets a song that really fits her and does it justice.

Although there is a rumour that the song they've picked is the one that Poli Genova and another vocalist nearly represented Bulgaria with last year and ~ a select few ~ fans got the demo of but we'll see if it comes to that. |

This blows the Cypriot entry way out of the water. This is as good as any X-Factor winner’s first big release. I’d love to see this win and if Cyprus can come 2nd then Malta can return to such heights themselves.

I could easily see this being the Fuego of the year, it's a bloody magnificent pop song that's very current but it has a bit of a quirk to it with the drop. As long as she's good live (which from what I've seen is no issue, ofc an uptempo song with a bigger performance is more pressure) and has good staging this is surely going to do very well??
