So that's why Line was in my head all morning. It was a sign.
Yasss Kristian and Imri will clearly be winning the semi now. As for semi one the only ones sticking out in the recap are Armenia and weirdly Portugal. So go figure. Hopefully Russia flops yassss |

I think Macedonia are struggling likewise Serbia, I'll be surprised to see more than one of them get through I think. I was warming up to Austria's chances as his stage presence is enormous but perhaps not now with that draw. I think Poland could definitely fail now from 11th, Latvia now have a fighting chance. I was warming up to Georgia's chances too after the revamp but like Austria, those chances could've been ruined. Aside from that I don't think anyone can feel hard done by, Macedonia should probably feel harshest done by. By contrast, I think Macedonia are in a good slot. They either follow Austria or Russia - both drab as f***. I think they'll be fine. I think this is the Poli Genova of 2017, though not as momentous, but surely should navigate their way out of the semi. I never had Latvia as a DNQ and their draw only reconfirms that. Georgia - keep the faith by all means, but might as well book a return flight back to Tbilisi for The Wednesday now... |

Poor sods coming out of the semis will have hardly any seconds halfs left - France have pulled out 2nd half too and Ukraine of course have a second half slot.
But EXCELLENT for our Lucie! Her rehearsal is magnificent. This post has been edited by ScottyEm: 7th May 2017, 10:56 AM |

Italy drawing first half could be interesting if the likes of Romania, Bulgaria or Portugal (or Sweden I guess but I'm trying to write that off, it would be too clinical as a winner) draw second half, but they'll only put it on 12th anyway. And if it's going to win, it should manage it from anywhere. Who's going to forget the dancing gorilla?
Fantastic for Lucie, not that performing last and second to last was much good for Molly or Joe & Jake. But anything to help. I want us on after something like Israel, a contrasting up-tempo but not one that will completely overshadow her like Romania, or just stick us after Spain/Germany, they don't have much support. |

I reckoned we needed a 2nd half draw to prevent a disaster for us so that's all to the good (not that this is gonna suddenly earn us a top 10 purely on the draw but beggars can't be choosers). I can see one of Spain or Germany being put in the Valentina (14)/Elhaida Dani/Joe & Jake slot one from the end and absolutely sinking without trace in the second half.
Italy being a good/bad/ok draw depends on who draws what half out of the main contenders from the semis and even then I imagine they'll put it on between 11th and 13th. |

Definitely a good draw for Bulgaria, they may have a free run if Italy and Portugal are placed anywhere other than the end of the first half (although I suspect at least one of them will). With Romania as well that adds a good amount of contenders to the second half, it's looking quite balanced.

Under the assumption that the main advert break will be between 13 and 14 and mini breaks after 7 and 19...
01 Moldova 02 Poland 03 Belarus 04 Croatia 05 Azerbaijan 06 Israel 07 Denmark 08 Hungary 09 Austria 10 The Netherlands 11 Italy 12 Armenia 13 Portugal 14 United Kingdom 15 Greece 16 Spain 17 Cyprus 18 Germany 19 Bulgaria 20 Sweden 21 Belgium 22 Ukraine 23 Norway 24 France 25 Australia 26 Romania Something like that maybe?! |

As early as we could get with a 2nd half draw and following Portugal? That would piss me right off! Stick us after a mini break
01 Israel 02 Hungary 03 Poland 04 Moldova 05 Netherlands 06 Austria 07 Armenia 08 Croatia 09 Belarus 10 Portugal 11 Azerbaijan 12 Denmark 13 Italy 14 Germany 15 Cyprus 16 Greece 17 Australia 18 France 19 Norway 20 United Kingdom 21 Spain 22 Ukraine 23 Belgium 24 Sweden 25 Bulgaria 26 Romania Got to end with a bang *.* Think I've stacked the final four too much though, they'll probably throw something that's more filler in one of those slots |

Israel or Armenia are opening this for sure. There is just no other way. Would be fun to see Israel be technically performed twice in a row haha. And Poland or Croatia gets put into the 2nd slot.
Agreeing Romania or Norway are closing. |

UK have been very lucky with their draws recently, and Sweden could do with coming after a break too flow-wise so I think they'll get preference over the UK. Saying that, they can easily put in another mini break wherever they want to for Sweden as it is just the UK that needs a good 2 minutes (before and after) so I could see the UK coming straight before Sweden in that 19-20 section.
